Absolutely incredible hotel. Everything was perfection: the room, the view, the food, the service. The morning and evening buffet was some of the best food we’ve ever had. Very vegetarian and vegan friendly, with great tastes. The garden was so beautiful. Real coffee farm on it. Very cool plants and birds. We are harsh critics and this hotel had it all.

The property features a vast compound surrounded by lush greenery, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The view of Mt. Meru is superb, and we especially loved the beautiful natural surroundings. The room was modern and stylish, designed with touches of Africa elements. The private balcony was the perfect spot to unwind with a cup of coffee while taking in the scenery. The dinner buffet offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, while the breakfast spread was extensive, with plenty of choices. We would highly recommend Gran Meliá Arusha to anyone visiting Arusha.

After a fulfilling yet exhausting seven-day safari trip, we returned to Arusha for a short rest before our flight the next day. I came across Gran Meliá Arusha on Xiaohongshu and decided to give it a try — and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. The hotel feels very new, and walking into the lobby, we were immediately impressed by how spacious, bright, and elegant it was. The contrast between the hotel and some of the older streets in town was honestly quite striking. We stayed as a group of three in a connected suite: one room with a king bed and another with two twin beds. The facilities were modern, clean, and comfortable, with a warm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. Our favorite part was definitely the large outdoor balcony. What really made the stay special was the beautiful garden area behind the hotel. There were all kinds of plants, flowers, coffee trees, small bridges, and water features — it felt peaceful and refreshing after days of traveling. By the final day we were quite tired, this hotel was truly a lovely ending to our Tanzania trip.

Having stayed at many five-star hotels around the world, I can honestly say this one completely amazed me. It was so wonderful that I didn’t want to leave. The resort features expansive, beautifully landscaped grounds. What impressed me most was the extraordinary back garden, where vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, coffee plantations, flowing streams, and waterfalls are seamlessly integrated into one breathtaking landscape. Every corner is picturesque. The service is exceptional, and the coffee is truly on another level—the best I’ve ever tasted. The freshness of the vegetables and fruits, harvested right on the property, is something no other hotel I’ve stayed at can match. Everything was flawless. A truly perfect experience.

We stayed at the Gran Meliá for one night before beginning our safari, and had a great time to get over our long flight. The hotel is incredibly luxurious and the first thing you see is a lovely lilypad garden with a beautiful lobby. The staff were super friendly and seemed genuinely happy to meet and help us. Our room was beautiful and very big, with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the gardens on the hotel roof. The hotel is also known for its rooftop bar which has incredible views of the nearby mountain. We enjoyed dinner and drinks there which was lovely and had a very calm vibe. Onto the food, which was very tasty. We especially enjoyed some sandwiches from the coffee shop when we arrived that were some of the best we have ever had and great value. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a tour of their vegetable garden where the gardeners enthusiastically showed us around and got us to smell and try all their produce which is used in their restaurant. Their coffee plant beans are used in the coffee served and sold the hotel.

Stayed for a 2 nights before and 1 night after safari in Serengeti. It’s easy to get to from Kilimanjaro international and looked luxurious when lit up at night when we arrived (it’s very nice as well in the day). Service is attentive and prompt. The grounds are amazing, similar to the Shangri La in Singapore. They apparently grow their own coffee beans and there’s a working farm with vegetables and chicken. We got a free tour when we went on a morning stroll. The rooms were nicely appointed and clean. The gym is spacious and modern and the adjoining sauna and steam are nice to relax in after a workout. Highly recommended.
