Stayed at Malkia Hotel last week. Really impressed — room was spotless and quiet, and the staff were so friendly. Check-in was fast and they gave great tips for restaurants nearby. Breakfast had fresh bread and good coffee. The Garden and the View is so beautiful..Would definitely come back

The property and grounds are beautiful, like you're in the treetops! It was too chilly to use the pool but that area was pretty and private, too. The location is close to town and a great base for Ngorongoro and Tarangire parks, too. The food was authentic, delicious, and plentiful and the cooks made it to order and sometimes a buffet. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were a good size. The owner, Honest, was so very helpful and friendly to our 17 member extended family (age 2-72). We were in Arusha for a wedding and also wanted to experience the culture and beauty in Tanzania and Honest and Neema (manager) arranged wonderful transportation and excursions for us. The rest of the staff at Malkia Trees were happy to help us any way they could. The property has many stairs but everything is well-lit and easy to navigate. Highly recommend them for a comfortable boutique hotel in a great location.

Malkia is an oasis in the middle of Arusha. Rooms were clean, warm and inviting. But what's special is the staff, all are friendly and accommodating. Honest, the proprietor, went above and beyond to ensure our visit was 1st class. Naome prepared cuisine on par with any restaurant. And my sincerest thanks to Neema who, working double shifts, accepted and resolved all requests with a level of professionalism that I've rarely experienced in any travels. These folks made me and my daughters trip to Tanzania 🇹🇿 unforgettable, Thanks Malkia Trees.

What a wonderful place to stay. The location was beautiful in a canopy of trees. Honest, Neema, and the others were all very accommodating. It was easy to get rides through them to other places around Arusha. The atmosphere was welcoming and calming and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The food was delicious, as well. It was a quiet, secluded place that was perfect for our family! 100% recommend staying here!

We left the busy disorder of town and took a narrow road to a gate that opened up to what seemed like Eden in comparison—beautiful quiet grounds. We were greeted graciously, as we were everywhere in Tanzania. Habiba, our pretty young hostess, went out of the way to make us comfortable. (She and I share the same birthday.) Naomi, the cook, prepared excellent meals—a mix of African and American foods. Last, but not least, Honest, was helpful in regards to electronics and anything else that required local expertise.

My family had a wonderful time visiting Arusha and using it for the jump off point for our Safari. |The owner, Honest Marandu, was very gracious, helped us with obtaining our Safari as well as all transportation throughout the region. |The staff was excellent, Neema, who is one of the managers, was very calm and took care of everything for us. And the meals are excellent! I would definitely recommend staying at Malkia Trees Lodge!

I am very grateful to owner Honest Maranda and manager Neema for providing such a wonderful introduction to Tanzania. I was part of a large family party which included a two-year-old, an eight-year-old, and a couple of us in our 70s. Malkia Trees Lodge has beautiful grounds, clean rooms, warm beds, hot showers, delicious food, and most importantly a kind, friendly, and helpful staff.
