We stayed here at the beginning of our Safari and at the end. It is a truly unique place and really beautiful. We felt at home and felt like we were stepping back into colonial times a little bit. The monkeys on the ground are plentiful, which is entertaining. The food is truly amazing! Sharifa and the other staff were excellent. We always felt like we were being cared for and very welcomed.

Our first stop on our Safari adventure couldn't have been more perfect - the Colobus monkeys swinging in the trees and the incredible staff at Ngare Sero made us immediately welcome and whet our appetite for the adventure ahead. The pool area was lovely (but chilly!), the food was great and the friendly service and family style serving worked so well for us. We enjoyed a horse riding trip and a boat trip around the lake and saw lots of monkeys, birds and insects. Our cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we enjoyed the privacy of the balcony and gardens

We stayed here one night and found it to be an incredible oasis. We are going back after another leg of our trip and very much look forward to another 3-4 nights there. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are beautiful and spacious (we were a couple). The bed was very comfortable, the closet and bathroom areas were wonderfully spacious. Happy hour on a spacious shaded porch - enormously relaxing... Dinner in a garden paradise, involving a beautiful setting, delicious food, and spectacularly attentive service by Kalebu and Sharifa. We can't wait as we return there tomorrow night...

Unforgettable family stay with outstanding hospitality We spent four nights as a family at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge in Arusha and were absolutely blown away from start to finish. The hospitality and service were on a level we’ve never experienced before. What impressed us most was how attentive the entire team was: staff recognized us immediately, always without needing our room number. This personal touch made our stay feel truly special. The food was unbelievably good—varied, freshly prepared, and crafted with incredible attention to detail. Every single meal, from breakfast to dinner, was a highlight. Another big plus: the lodge actively trains new staff from the local community. It’s wonderful to see this investment in local people, and you can feel the pride and dedication throughout the entire team. We would love to return and can highly recommend Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge to any family looking for a luxurious, warm, and authentic experience in Arusha.

The biggest highlights were definitely the beautiful surroundings and the food. The setting is absolutely stunning, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Every meal was delicious, with great quality and variety. The staff were also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay near Arusha National Park. We would happily stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stayed at Ngare Sero Lodge in Arusha last December before heading out on our safari and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. Before coming to Africa I was a little nervous about the food, but the meals here were incredible. Every single meal we had was excellent and clearly made with a lot of care. We happened to be there on Christmas Eve and they had a local choir come and sing Christmas carols, which was really special and beautiful to experience. We stayed in the small farm cottage. It’s a bit of a walk from the main lodge, but the setting was peaceful and it was still a great place to stay. The service throughout our stay was also excellent. Honestly, the pictures online don’t do the place justice. The grounds are beautiful and the food presentation is great, but it’s not really reflected in their photos. They could definitely benefit from better marketing and social media because the property itself is really special. Overall it was a wonderful place to start our safari and I would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed a night are the Ngare Sero Moutain lodge before heading to tarangire. It is a beautiful place, set aside a lake with lots of wildlife, lovely comfortable rooms and exceptional service. The food was delicious too. Wish we could have stayed longer - if only we had more time on our trip. We really enjoyed playing a game of croquet on the lawn which was very nostalgic!

Ngare Sero was the the start/end point of our Mt Kilimanjaro trek with Summits Africa (we made it!) and we couldn't have been happier with this beautiful place and its lovely, caring staff. Another guest tipped us off about Deo, a staff member with special expertise in the local birds and wildlife. His tour of the grounds and the village was a real highlight. We were actually here for New Year's Eve and in addition to the delicious food and wine, they had a amazing local choir who sang for us. What a fantastic start to 2026! We can't wait to return!
