The Sofitel Athens airport is a little pricey but you are paying for the convenience.|It is literally across the road from the airport terminal…just a two minute walk!|The room we stayed in was the superior room with a larger queen bed. The room was spacious with a separate WC and a separate and fabulously spacious shower.|The room also had a small fridge, in-room safe and fancy coffee maker. The staff were wonderful and accommodating (especially Mavros?) They allowed us a later checkout to accommodate our flight. The hotel also offers two restaurants and soundproof rooms. We would definitely recommend the hotel for a late or early flight.

Absolutely loved our stay! The room was spotless, modern, and had a stunning view of the city. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Definitely coming back!

We returned to Sofitel Athens for a second stay because our first experience was simply fabulous—and once again, the hotel did not disappoint! The location is truly unbeatable. Being directly across the street from the airport makes this one of the most convenient and stress-free hotels to stay at, especially when travelling. Despite being so close to the airport, the hotel itself feels luxurious and relaxing. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and have such a luxurious feel. We also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel restaurant, which was incredibly elegant and offered delicious food. It was the perfect way to end our stay. The service has been phenomenal both times we have visited. Every member of the staff has been professional, friendly, and attentive, making us feel very well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Overall, Sofitel Athens is easily one of our favourite hotels. The unbeatable location, luxurious rooms, amazing restaurant, and exceptional service make it a perfect choice when staying near Athens Airport. We will absolutely be staying here again! ✈️🇬🇷✨

We chose Sofitel Athens Airport for our final night in Greece before returning to the United States, and it was the perfect way to end an unforgettable trip. The location could not be more convenient. Being directly adjacent to the airport made our departure day completely stress-free while still allowing us to enjoy a luxurious and relaxing final evening. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and beautifully maintained. We especially appreciated the personalized welcome message on the television, which was a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly welcomed. We also dined at the hotel restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. The food was exceptional, the wine selection was excellent, and the overall dining experience exceeded our expectations. After days of travel and exploration, it was wonderful to enjoy such high-quality cuisine without ever leaving the property. The combination of comfort, convenience, outstanding service, and excellent dining makes Sofitel Athens Airport a hotel I would gladly recommend to anyone traveling through Athens. We would absolutely stay here again on a future trip to Greece. 🇬🇷✈️🥂

We stayed at the Sofitel Athens Airport due to flight disruptions after issues with our Sky Express and Etihad flights. Etihad arranged the accommodation, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so after an already stressful travel experience we were hoping for a smooth and comfortable stay. On arrival, there was confusion because the booking details had not been communicated properly, which delayed us getting our rooms. Once sorted, the rooms themselves were nice, clean, and comfortable. The housekeeping staff were all lovely. The only issue with the room was the shower constantly switching from hot to cold every few seconds. Breakfast was a great experience. A young lady took us to our table and was fantastic. She was friendly, helpful, and really stood out as one of the best staff members we encountered. Unfortunately, the restaurant experience was where the problems started. At lunch, we were presented with a bill and told we needed to pay. We explained that our meals were included as part of the cancelled and delayed flight accommodation, but there was confusion. Eventually, we were told we needed to advise staff every time we arrived that we were part of the disrupted flight booking and that there was a set menu. The biggest issue was the nut allergy in our group. We had to explain the allergy every single time we went to eat, and different staff members gave different information about what was safe. This was extremely concerning. The options became very limited, and our friend was left with the same fish meal for lunch and dinner every day. Eventually, she had to purchase her own meal because she could no longer cope with the only safe option available to her being the same fish meal repeatedly. The included drinks with lunch and dinner were also limited to water and sparkling water. The restaurant service overall was disappointing, with the exception of our final dinner. A young gentleman serving us was excellent, friendly, and attentive. He genuinely made an effort and was a welcome change after the difficulties we had experienced throughout the stay. The most disappointing part was that after the initial confusion around the booking and payment arrangements, it felt like the way we were treated by much of the hotel changed. The Sofitel Athens Airport has beautiful rooms and some genuinely wonderful staff members, but the poor communication, inconsistent information, and restaurant experience made what should have been a comfortable stay during a stressful travel disruption much more difficult than it needed to be.

Unless you oversleep, you’re not likely to be late for your flight, since it’s literally 50 meters from Athens Airport. I hadn’t planned on staying there, but to avoid any potential delays with public transportation and missing my flight, I played it safe and spent the night there the night before my flight.|The staff is very welcoming and charming, the lobby is stunning, and the rooms are simply incredible. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and I made the most of my stay by enjoying the breakfast I’d paid for in advance. They offer a wide variety of choices at the buffet—sweet, savory, gluten-free, vegetarian, traditional, or otherwise… there’s something for everyone. As someone who absolutely loves breakfast, I was completely satisfied.|I’ll definitely be back.

We stayed here at the end of our vacation to Greece the night before we flew home. This was a great call as we had to be at the gate by 830A. This hotel is attached to the airport. The room was very nice and clean. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was great.

This hotel charged about twice what I’ve paid for any non-resort hotel room, so my expectations were high. Of course you’re paying mostly for the convenience, but it still needs to be comfortable. It was. The bed was perfect, with soft pillows, and the black-out screen was too. The bathroom, with its separate toilet room, was roomy. Our only issue was with the shower: the water appeared to cycle from very hot to cold, ignoring our settings entirely. This needs to be fixed. Otherwise we had no issues. We appreciated the four bottles of water. The front desk person gave us a helpful metro tip when we checked in. You can’t beat the location. If you’ve never stayed right at an airport before an international flight, you might want to treat yourself!
