Excellent hotel, I wish it had a spa. It is right next door to the international airport in New Zealand. Car rentals are a 3minute walk away, this place is very convenient. Has a water station on Ground level. I paid an extra $60 for a 2pm checkout and it was worth every cent. You can't hear the airplanes from inside my room,

A great hotel conveniently located directly across the international terminal. There is 24 hours reception and staff are friendly and professional. The room is very clean and the bedding and pillow are comfortable. It would have been even better if there were slippers and dental kit made available. There are various lounges, onsite restaurant and fitness room. Didn't get to use all the facilities, but maybe next time! If you need a short stay near the airport, this is worth a visit!

The room was very comfortable. Easy walk from international arrivals and to international departures. It was raining and cold when I left the hotel and only had a short unprotected walk to departures, made the walk easy with my large rolling bag . Very convenient, food was excellent and room was very quiet.

Spent one night at the Novotel before my early morning flight back to Australia, and it couldn’t have been easier. The direct connection to the international terminal is a genuine lifesaver — no shuttles, no car parks, just walk straight in from arrivals. Exactly what you need after a long day of travel. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the blackout curtains and soundproofing were far better than I expected given how close the runways are. Slept brilliantly. The highlight of the stay was the room service — honestly outstanding. The food arrived hot, well-presented, and tasted like it had come from a proper kitchen rather than a reheated airport trolley. Generous portions too. It’s rare that room service genuinely impresses me, but this did. Staff were friendly and efficient at check-in, and the whole experience felt effortless from start to finish. If you’ve got an early flight out of Auckland, just book it here. You won’t regret it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Very good experience at Novotel Auckland Airport. Check-in and check-out were both quick and efficient, and everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, with a great view of the runway, which was a nice bonus. The only downside was the restaurant closing at 10 PM, which is quite early for an airport hotel where guests are constantly arriving on late flights. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay right at Auckland Airport. We would definitely stay here again.

I was only here for an evening and stayed until we had to leave for our flight at 3:30am. The rooms were very nice, full of tech and nice lighting options. The service was top notch and the location could not be any better unless the were located inside the airport, it was a 2 min ute walk, excellent!

Neither cheap nor overly expensive, Novotel AKL offers a high standard of service and comfort. My king room had excellent but almost silent temperature control, nice furnishings and bedding, good coffee and tea-making facilities with fresh milk in portions, and a full bathroom. The only oddity was the bathtub/shower. On check-in I had been offered a choice between a room with a walk-in shower or one with a bathtub and shower attachment. Liking a good soak I had chosen the latter. However, even just to fit the plug and turn on the water supply I had to climb into the bathtub using a metal stool provided, while clinging on to a hand rail, and then repeat the manoeuvre when actually getting into the bath once poured. A fixed glass screen barred the way to any other means of entry. This was obviously the result of an ill-thought out remodelling and looked like an accident waiting to happen. Breakfast was excellent, with a very wide selection way beyond the usual, and plenty of choices for vegetarians. My only complaint was that the cheeses had been left out in an air current and had gone distinctly dry. The restaurant also served nice food for dinner, although portions were rather small.

We travelled as a family and booked two king rooms. Rooms are spacious and lovely. Had an excellent stay. Dinner in the restaurant was beautiful - make a reservation, the restaurant was fully booked so we had an early dinner at 5pm. Hotel in a great location - right across from the International Terminal made for a very short walk for an early morning flight.
