Response from the property
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed our location, the design of the hotel and some time by the pool at Archer Hotel Austin. It’s great to hear the pool setup, seating and bar helped add to your stay. At the same time, we’re very sorry to hear the cleanliness of your room, particularly the bathroom floors, fell short of expectations. A clean, comfortable guest room is fundamental to the experience we strive to provide, and we regret that this was not your experience. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping leadership team for review and follow-up. We appreciate your candid feedback and thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more seamless stay in the future.

You can eat well without going far. The hotel has its own restaurant, cafe, and bar for easy meals. Right outside, Domain NORTHSIDE is full of options like Bakery Lorraine, Taverna, Flower Child, Velvet Taco, Gloria's Latin Cuisine, Haywire, The Salty, and Barley Swine. AKB Austin, the hotel's signature spot, serves chef-curated plates and craft cocktails. For a quick bite, 7 Eleven is nearby. These are all within walking distance, so you can explore as you eat.
The area around Archer Hotel Austin is the walkable Domain NORTHSIDE district, with boutiques, coffee shops, and green spaces right outside the lobby. The Domain, a large open-air shopping and dining center, is steps away, as are many restaurants and bars. Nearby Kramer commuter rail station and multiple bus routes make it easy to reach downtown Austin. While major sights like the Texas Capitol (14.3 km) and Bullock State History Museum (13.7 km) require a ride, the immediate neighborhood is self-contained for shopping, dining, and evening entertainment.
From Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), about 23 km away, you can take the bus: Line 20 from the airport to 2231 Guadalupe/West Mall UT, then transfer to Line 803 to Domain Station, with the trip taking about 1 hour 34 minutes. Alternatively, a taxi or ride-hailing service offers a direct ride of roughly 20 minutes. If arriving by train, the nearest commuter rail stop is Kramer, about 1.3 km from the hotel, and the hotel also provides a shuttle service within a certain radius.
In the evening, you can step right out of the hotel into Domain NORTHSIDE, a walkable area with shops, restaurants, and bars, including the lively Rock Rose nightlife. The hotel's own bar and restaurant offer a convenient spot for drinks and dinner. For a memorable night, consider the Lake Austin Sunset Boat Cruise, a 1-hour scenic tour, or the Austin Electric Bike Tour. Nearby sights like Pennybacker Bridge Overlook are about 9.2 km away, so plan a short drive or rideshare to enjoy the views after dark. The Domain itself is a great place to stroll and soak up the evening atmosphere.
Archer Hotel Austin is a great base for exploring Austin, especially if you want to be in the lively Domain NORTHSIDE area, with shops, restaurants, and nightlife right outside the lobby. The hotel's own Kramer station is nearby, making it easy to reach downtown sights. However, major attractions like the Texas Capitol (14.3 km) and Bullock Texas State History Museum (13.7 km) are a longer trip, so plan for a drive or transit ride. For closer nature spots, Pennybacker Bridge Overlook is 9.2 km away, and Mount Bonnell is 10.3 km, both requiring a car or ride. The hotel's restaurant, cafe, and bar offer convenient dining before heading out. Overall, it's a comfortable base for those who enjoy a walkable neighborhood and don't mind traveling a bit for downtown landmarks.
