Hello Holly, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We are pleased to hear about the care you received from our team. That said, we understand how the challenges you encountered with the surrounding noise and elevator wait times could make a busy trip more difficult and appreciate you bringing those concerns to our attention. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Regards, Hilton Austin Management Team

You can eat right at the hotel: Cannon + Belle serves local Texas cuisine, Austin Taco Project has tacos and craft cocktails, and there's a Starbucks for coffee and snacks. Just outside, Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill and Sandy's Hamburgers and Frozen Custard are nearby options. For a short walk, Easy Tiger offers casual American and German fare, and Stella San Jac is about a 10-minute stroll away. The hotel's own bar and snack bar are also handy for a quick bite or drink.
You are in the heart of downtown Austin, right across from the Austin Convention Center. The lively 6th Street Entertainment District is just a block north, and the Warehouse and Second Street Districts are about a 10-minute walk away. The Museum of the Weird is a 3-minute walk, the Austin Visitor Center is 6 minutes, and the Texas Capitol is a 13-minute stroll. For a longer outing, Barton Springs Pool is 3.2 km away. The hotel itself has a bar, cafe, restaurant, and snack bar for easy dining on site.
From Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, the hotel is about 7 miles away. A taxi or ride-hailing service will get you there directly, or you can take a pre-booked transfer. If you prefer public transit, bus lines like 20, 3, 30, 7, and 801 stop near the hotel, with the closest stop, Brush Square Nb (Trinity/4th), a 3-minute walk away. The Downtown Station light rail stop is a 37-minute walk, so the bus is more convenient. From the Amtrak station, about 1.5 miles away, a short taxi or ride-hailing trip works well.
In the evening, you can walk three minutes to the Museum of the Weird, or head to the nearby Sixth Street Entertainment District, just a block north, for nightlife. The hotel's own bar and snack bar offer casual drinks and bites, and the Austin Taco Project serves tacos and craft cocktails on-site. For a relaxed evening, the Texas Capitol is a 13-minute walk away, and the Austin Visitor Center is six minutes on foot. You could also join the Lake Austin Sunset Boat Cruise for a scenic evening on the water.
Hilton Austin is a great base for exploring downtown. The Museum of the Weird is a 3-minute walk, the Austin Visitor Center is 6 minutes away, and the Texas Capitol is a 13-minute stroll. The Bullock Texas State History Museum is a 21-minute walk, so you can cover many sights on foot. For Barton Springs Pool, you'll need a 3.2 km trip, and Mount Bonnell is 7.1 km out, so plan for a car or transit for those. The hotel's own restaurant, Cannon + Belle, and Austin Taco Project are handy for meals before heading out. With downtown and the 6th Street area nearby, you're well placed for exploring the city center.
