AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS – THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD I honestly cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The first room we were given was okay in terms of cleanliness, but it looked absolutely nothing like what we had expected from the pictures online. Shortly after arriving, we went to see the pool, and this was where the problems really started. The pool was not operational, there was visible algae, and in our opinion it was simply not possible to swim in it. We complained about this and were then offered another room with a private pool. We appreciated the hotel offering us another room and hoped this would solve the problem. Unfortunately, the second room was MUCH worse. When we entered, we found insects/bugs in the bed, stains on the bedding and mosquito net, including stains that appeared to us to be blood. We have photographic evidence of the condition of the room, including pictures of the bugs we found in the bed. At that point, we had seen enough. The difference between what we personally experienced at this hotel and the impression given by the pictures online was unbelievable. In our opinion, the actual product we received looked nothing like what we believed we had booked. We found the condition of the second room absolutely disgusting and could not imagine sleeping there. I have travelled extensively throughout Southeast Asia and have stayed in many different types of accommodation at many different price levels. I fully understand that standards can vary, and I do NOT expect every hotel to be perfect. I have experienced plenty of small problems while travelling and normally have no issue accepting them. But this was on a completely different level. This is, without comparison, the worst hotel experience I have personally ever had. We did not sleep a SINGLE night at this hotel. We were there for approximately 2–3 hours in total before deciding that we simply could not stay there. We therefore had to leave and find alternative accommodation. What makes the experience even worse is how the situation was handled afterwards. Despite the fact that we did not stay a single night and despite the fact that we documented the problems we encountered, the hotel would not provide us with a refund. We also experienced extremely disappointing customer service, including emails that were not answered. Trip.com has offered us some compensation and, to be fair, they have tried to help us resolve the situation. We appreciate their assistance. Unfortunately, in our experience, the hotel itself has not been cooperative in finding a satisfactory solution, and we are still not receiving our money back from the hotel. Based on that experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look at other options. There are so many other hotels in the area, including alternatives that are both cheaper and, based on our experience travelling in Southeast Asia, offer far better value. I rarely feel strongly enough about a hotel to tell people to completely avoid it, but in this case I genuinely do. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. We lost money, wasted part of our holiday dealing with the situation, had to find another hotel, and never even spent a single night here. For us, the reality simply did not live up to the impression created by the photos on the booking sites. The worst hotel experience I have ever had. 1/10. I would never return.

honestly this place is sooo good stayed at the kanjeng resort ubud and it was super chill, quiet, and surrounded by greenery… perfect if you just wanna escape for a bit. the villa itself is really comfy, clean, and the vibes are just right. waking up to that view hits different fr staff were also really nice and easygoing, not stiff at all. overall worth it, def gonna come back

I was very disappointed upon entering the room, especially considering I paid a non-refundable $200 for two full days and three nights. The staff were polite, helpful, and responded promptly to all my questions. The internet connection was good, and the hot water worked perfectly. Breakfast was acceptable, though there is some room for improvement. However, several aspects of the accommodation need attention. The mattress appeared very old (most important to me) — when one person moved, the entire bed shook like a wave, making it uncomfortable to sleep. The bed sheets and towels, which should be white, were grey with some stains and seemed worn out. I understand this may not be the staff’s fault, but the owner should consider replacing them. The curtains were also dirty. The slippers were not sealed in plastic packaging and had an unpleasant smell, as if they had been used before. The liquid soap container seemed unclean, and the soap itself appeared diluted with water. The swimming pool was 1.6 meters deep, which made it unsuitable for non-swimmers (I am 1.62 m tall). In most other hotels, the depth is around 1.4 meters, which allows both adults and children to enjoy the pool comfortably. Lastly, the room door had noticeable gaps that could allow insects or lizards to enter. I hope this feedback helps improve the comfort and hygiene of the hotel for future guests.

I was quite disappointed that the hotel did not have room services for food and the breakfast items are very limited. Lots of ants centipede lizards and cockroaches coming into room. The bed netting fall off and hit my head.. the resorts have lots of staircase up and down which make it quite inconvenient if u have large luggage. I pity the staff I see 2 young boys cleaning, front staff, carry luggage, serve breakfast and I do pity them. The staff are friendly and helpful but feel it’s not suitable for family with kids.

Amazing place to stay in Ubud! The atmosphere is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the quiet side of Bali. Highly recommended!

The experience at this hotel was very scary. We stayed here for three nights and on two consecutive nights there was no electricity with no power backup available. Additionally the room doors were unsafe. The rooms had sliding doors which could not be properly secured even after locking, the door could be slid open from one side leaving the door open from the other end. The resort also did not have any entrance gates so anyone could walk in without any security or scrutiny. The location of the resort is extremely remote which further added to the feeling of fear and insecurity.

We had a lovely stay at The Kanjeng Resort Ubud. We stayed the suite room and were very happy with how spacious and clean it was. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well-maintained, and everything felt fresh. The surroundings were peaceful and green, which really added to the relaxing atmosphere. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy the Ubud vibes. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway in Ubud! Thank you The Kanjeng Resort Team❤️

The breakfast is pretty terrible and hard to order. Anyone who doesn't speak Indonesian will have a very hard time communicating with staff, very vague about prices for motorbikes. Most employees were new and were of little assistance when needed. They didn't even have a spare room key to service the room while you are out and about. The rooms were alright but overall experience for the price was well below expectations
