I have stayed in countless hotels around the world, and this is truly one of the best. The hotel design is stunning, and it smells wonderful, the moment u walk into the lobby, u get such a great feeling. Throughout our entire stay, we felt truly seen n cared for, whenever we needed anything, the staff was there to help. We decided to extend our stay for an extra night, n they surprised us by upgrading our room. Since this was our honeymoon, they also thoughtfully wrote us a note and provided a delicious dessert. Our entire vacation felt like a fairytale. The hotel staff r incredibly professional and kind always smiling n making us feel so welcome. We will never forget this amazing vacation.

UPDATE (23 October): Rating increased from 1 to 3 stars. Since leaving my original review, the hotel has made a genuine effort to put things right, which I really appreciate. I also wanted to share some positives now that we’ve had more time to experience the hotel. On the evening of our check-in, we returned to an apology letter, fruit and a lovely little honeymoon tart in the fridge, which was a really thoughtful gesture. The following day, a manager called my husband to apologise profusely and asked to speak to me too, although I wasn’t available. They offered us a complimentary spa experience, which we couldn’t take advantage of, as well as complimentary breakfast, late checkout and another fruit basket. They’ve also followed up to check in with us. We genuinely appreciate the effort. Now for some positives! Our room is spotlessly clean, the bed is incredibly comfortable and we’ve slept really well. The air conditioning is excellent, the TV is great and the shower pressure is fantastic, something which can be a bit hit and miss in Thailand! The pool area is lovely too. The only downside is the soundproofing, as we could hear a baby crying next door. We haven’t eaten in the restaurants, but room service was lovely, quick and efficient. The manager said they’d be focusing on improving the check-in experience, and I’m genuinely pleased they’re taking our feedback seriously. Having stayed at over 20 hotels across Thailand, many of them exceptional 5-star properties, I really believe that luxury is about consistency. The warmth, attention to detail and little touches from arrival to departure are what make a stay feel special. Although our initial experience fell well below expectations, the team has made a real effort to put things right. I hope they follow through on the improvements they’ve mentioned, because there are some lovely aspects to this hotel and it has the potential to deliver a much better 5-star experience. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Just checked in for the final stay of our honeymoon, and unfortunately, it’s been a really disappointing start. The check-in process took much longer than it needed to, especially considering we were the only guests being checked in. The lady who checked us in was cold and transactional, and really lacked the warm Thai hospitality that we’ve come to know and love. Throughout the entire check-in process, she only addressed my husband, which made me feel pretty much invisible. I even mentioned that this was the final stay of our honeymoon before heading home, and she barely acknowledged it! To make matters worse, we weren’t even shown to our room. She simply put us in the lift and left us there, without clearly explaining which floor we needed to go to or where our room was. We were genuinely a bit confused! When the gentleman brought our luggage up to the room, he also didn’t remove his shoes before coming inside, despite us having removed ours. This might seem like a small detail, but it’s something we’ve experienced consistently throughout our travels in Thailand, even at hotels with lower star ratings. We’ve stayed at over 20 hotels across Thailand, including some absolutely incredible 5-star properties where the hospitality and attention to detail have been exceptional. Unfortunately, this has hands down been the worst check-in and customer service experience we’ve had at any of them. It really didn’t feel like a 5-star experience at all, which is such a shame considering this is the final stop of our honeymoon. Not a great first impression!

I had a wonderful stay at The Salil Hotel in Bangkok! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, modern, and very clean, with impressive high-tech features. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. The complimentary shuttle boat to the mall and back was a favorite perk. It was convenient and added something special to our stay. My only concern was the slow service at one of the restaurants. We waited a very long time for drinks and food. The food was delicious, but the wait could definitely be improved. Between the weather and our schedule, we didn’t get as much time to enjoy the pool as we hoped. Overall, I had an awesome experience and loved this beautiful hotel!

The Best Hotel Experience I’ve Ever Had The Salil Hotel Bangkok has genuinely delivered the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything has been absolutely brilliant. The hotel is beautiful, the setting by the river is stunning, but what really makes this place exceptional is the people, the service and the attention to every little detail. The staff are simply amazing. The service throughout our stay has been incredible, with everyone making us feel genuinely welcome and looked after. A special mention must go to Jane, the concierge, who has been fantastic, and Guide, whose warmth, professionalism and attention to detail made every interaction a pleasure. Both are a real credit to the hotel. The experiences have been outstanding across the board. The massage was amazing, the hydrotherapy experience was fantastic and incredibly relaxing, and the food was impeccable. The pool area is brilliant, offering a really cool and relaxing atmosphere, while the riverside setting makes the whole experience feel special. The hotel boat is another fantastic touch and adds something unique to the stay. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is spot on, too. The DJ brings a great vibe, and the team at Bricks Café deserve a special mention for being absolutely incredible. Every part of the hotel feels thoughtfully put together, from the wellness facilities to the dining, the music and the little details that make such a difference. What stands out most is that this isn't just a beautiful hotel with great facilities. It's the overall experience. Every member of staff seems to care about making your stay memorable, and that makes all the difference. I honestly cannot fault the place. Everything has been brilliant, from the service and hospitality to the food, the wellness experiences and the riverside location. If you're staying in Bangkok, I cannot recommend The Salil Hotel Bangkok highly enough. It's an experience in its own right, not just somewhere to stay. We will absolutely be back. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special!

Honestly, I am still buzzing from our stay at The Salil Hotel Riverside Bangkok. If you're looking for a place in Bangkok that actually delivers on that five-star feeling without being stiff or stuffy, this is absolutely it.What blew us away completely was how they treated my wife for her birthday. I mentioned it to them, but I didn't expect them to go all out like they did. Right during breakfast, the staff came over, singing a full-on birthday song, and surprised her with this absolutely delicious, beautifully made fruit tart. Seeing the massive smile on her face was everything. They didn’t just do it to check a box; you could tell the team genuinely cared about making her day special.The vibe here is set from the second you walk in, mostly because the receptionists are just so incredibly warm and friendly. They didn't feel like robots reading a script—they were genuinely welcoming, helpful, and just plain nice to talk to every single time we walked past the desk.And let’s talk about the actual hotel for a second—the amenities are top-class. Everything feels premium, from the crazy-comfortable bedding to the tiny details in the room. They clearly didn't cut any corners here.Also there is a great free shuttle boat which you can use to go all the luxury malls nearby.It’s rare to find a place that gets the luxury and the human element so perfectly right. We left with the biggest smiles on our faces, and we’re already figuring out when we can go back!

My stay at The Salil Hotel Riverside was such a lovely experience! ✨ The check-in entrance was quite small, but the property itself was much bigger and more beautiful than I expected. It’s not easy to find a place in Bangkok that makes you feel like you’ve escaped the city and can truly relax. but this hotel truly gives you that feeling. The price is reasonable, the staff are exceptional, and there’s a 7-Eleven nearby, along with plenty of restaurants and cafés to explore. Everything you need for a perfect staycation is right here. Overall, I was really impressed with my stay and would definitely come back again!

Lovely staff, the overall compound makes it hard to want to go out as it is so nice. The café had great food, restaurants are okay but overly expensive. Be careful that a riverside room might not have any river view! The fact that this is not clearly explained when booking was quite disappointing when price was higher vs pool side. Moreover, while I loved the room (spacious, modern etc.), the bathroom had some signs of aging, notably with mold spots on the ceiling and shower joints. The tap was also not properly screwed. It's small things but with the price of the room they really ought to do deep maintenance once in a while.

Had a wonderful experience at Rabbit Moon Aqua Therapy! The service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and professional, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Khun Toom, he was absolutely lovely, attentive and made us feel so comfortable. Her warm personality and excellent service really stood out. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing experience with friendly and caring staff. I will definitely come back again! Thank you, Rabbit Moon Aqua Therapy, for the wonderful experience!
