Location is great, also big fan of the code system. There’s possibility to leave your luggage in a locker room and it’s safe because each locker has its own key. However, I feel it would be better if slippers were provided. Also, the bathroom is a little unusual, the floor appears to be made of wood(?) and there are a few areas that seem to have sunk slightly, possibly because the floor is hollow underneath. Since you don’t really know what might be underneath the wooden floor, it makes the bathroom feel less clean and less comfortable to bathe in.

It's a good location, within walking distance of lots of the main attractions of Barcelona and a couple of blocks from the R2 that gets you to the airport. Our room was good, bed was a bit bouncy - could do with a memory foam mattress - but apart from that all good. Tiny stairs or small lift up, but then I'd say it's not a great place for a family with young kids, much better for couples or friends. There are quite a few steps and narrow passages so if you've got mobility issues you may be better off with a big-name hotel. Breakfast was fine, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was nice and quiet but you could just about hear the washing machine at night, but that's the only thing I heard - I always suggest people take earplugs on holiday anyway. I think value is okay but then I got it with air miles. Happy to recommend with the caveat of it being more suited to some people than others.

Great location, everything in walkable distance. Stunning old building. Issues: Half the light switches did not work. The TV did not connect to the Internet The shower had loose plastic tiles on a concrete floor, it felt a bit unhygienic. All fixable.

All I will say positive about this place is the location. When we arrived on Tuesday the air conditioner wasn't on so we turned it on and left. When we returned later that night it still wasn't on. We spent the night way too hot to sleep. After repeated texts and assurances that it would be fixed, it was not. They said it would be a priority this morning (Thursday) but we had a fan delivered. It's now 4 pm and it looks like we have another night with no relief. We can't go to the room to take a nap or relax even though we're exhausted from so little sleep. They say they are all booked up and can't move us. I'm sure they must have had a complaint from whoever stayed there before us but they don't care enough to actually do anything.

Except the location, we had an unpleasant experience. Staff was not helpful, didn’t allow us to only 15 min late check out! The room was in a bad condition, not clean and very small & old. Not recommend it.

Absolutely appalling experience from start to finish. This hotel is nothing like what’s advertised. The photos online are completely misleading — the reality is tired, poorly maintained, and frankly shocking. The room on booking looks nice but actually there is visible mould in multiple areas which is completely unacceptable and raises serious hygiene concerns. It seems damp, unclean, and neglected. Customer service was just as bad. Staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and showed zero interest in resolving issues when raised. We were made to feel like an inconvenience. Basic hospitality standards were not met, and concerns were brushed off rather than addressed professionally. This was beyond disappointing — it was unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to avoid and not be misled by the advertised images. There are far better options available that actually deliver what they promise. One of the worst HOSTEL not hotel experiences I’ve ever had. They lied multiple times over the phone, very unprofessional and shouted at me.

The room is comfortable for two people, for a night's sleep it's just what you need... There's a space as soon as you enter the room where you can make coffee or your own breakfast (with your own ingredients).... It's close to everything, very convenient, I would stay there again!

Awesome location, with easy access to all the key attractions in Barcelona. Rooms are small, but very well-priced. No issues with smell or mould in our room. Appreciated the communal fridge and Nespresso machine to kick start the morning. Highly recommend for couples visiting Barcelona, who are willing to do short walks to key locations.
