I find this hotel to be of great value. They have a free parking lot for guests, give out a 500yen coupon for the convenience store nearby as a gift and their rooms are huge. The view from the rooms is good too! You can see the mountains and the public baths. The only thing about this hotel is that it isn’t authentic. Their outdoor bathing area allows people to wear swimming costumes. But it was definitely a good and comfortable stay for us

We stayed here for 2 night with a group of friends in November. The room was nice and clean, comfy bed and very good bathroom. Onsen both indoor and outdoor were great, particular outdoor in the garden. The breakfast and dinner was quite good. But the best was front desk staff who were very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Beautiful hotel located in a very peaceful and green area with magnificent views of the mountains and smoke from hot springs. The hotel itself has hot springs and baths in a lovely garden. Very nice and spacious room with lots of toiletries available downstairs. Within walking distance of the 7 hells of Beppu.

As part of a tour group, I wasn't sure what to expect, but our stay at this resort exceeded my expectations! The entire property felt brand new, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided for. The rooms were fresh and clean, adding to the overall comfort. The resort's mountain location offered fresh air and great mountain views. The Onsen facilities were a highlight, with both indoor and outdoor sections to enjoy. I also appreciated the picturesque public open-air bath nearby, and the convenient option to borrow swimming attire from the front desk. Overall, a truly relaxing and rejuvenating stay - highly recommended!

We spent 4 nights at Morinoyu. One night extra due to the typhoon. But it is a great experience. The hotel is medium size but clean and organized. The garden bath is special but you have to wear swimwear so bring your own or rent from the hotel. They just revamped the garden bath so it's clean and look new. It's refreshing to soak in the open air. The indoor and outdoor bath are nice too and it's pretty clean. The room even though basic but clean and spacious. You can have a nice view of the harbour and mountain. Most importantly, the hotel staffs are polite, welcoming and accommodating. Though we need to extend a night due to typhoon but they helped us check for many information. Thank you to Kattori and Miki especially for helping us throughout our stay. Overall, we are happy to spent the nights at Morinoyu. Thank you

At first glance, hotel seemed to be nice decorate and design. We were so happy when we enter here with 2 years old daughter. The staffs is not as friendly as normal Japanese level hotel. As soon as we enter the room, then we realized they put us in the smallest room on the 2nd floor even though we pay regular pricing. Anyway, there is also people smoking in the area. I wont recommend this for family type vacation. More suitable for couple without children. Breakfast is regular nothing special for the price. This hotel is really good location to go tourists places around the areas.
