The check-in was very easy and the room very clean. Location to the center and major sites was perfect. All the staff was kind and helpful. I was able to leave my bags early in the day and leave them after check out for a few hours so I could easily explore the city without carrying my things. The area felt very safe, especially for me as a solo female traveler. I would return again.

Response from the property

Hi Emily, Thanks so much for staying with us and for the lovely note. We’re delighted you found check-in smooth, the room fresh, and our team welcoming. It is great to hear the setting worked well for you as a solo traveler: right in the heart of Mitte for easy access to the sights, yet set on a calm side street with a backyard that brings a touch of Berlin charm 😊 For a future visit, feel free to take a pause with our coffee and tea flat. The beans come from a local Berlin roastery, and you can help yourself daily between 1:00 pm and 9:00 pm. We truly appreciate your visit and would be happy to welcome you back to CALMA Berlin Mitte. Nice and quiet hotel, close to the city center. The area has a lot of good restaurants and felt safe walking alone early in the morning and late in the evening. Employees are very kind and willing to help with recommendations. Good value for money.

This was my second stay here and I could easily stay again. The room, size M, was clean and quiet. The breakfast is great and you can hace coffee all. The location is the greatest!!!

This hotel was very clean, and at a great location. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet looked amazing, however the price was too high per person for a breakfast. If you compare this type of hotel at this price point to North American hotels, a continental breakfast would definitely be included. That's the only negative remark I have to make. There are hotels in Germany at this price point, where breakfast is included, so this isn't a foreign concept. At the very least, coffee should be free for guests in the morning. Great stay otherwise.

Our room was a bit on the small side but at the end of the day it was just a base for us to sleep in! I had a wonderful stay at Hotel CALMA Berlin Mitte! Friendly staff made me feel welcome from check-in to check-out, always helpful and smiling. The location is perfect — easy to explore the neighborhood, great transport links and plenty of cafés and sights nearby. And the breakfast was fantastic: a wide selection, fresh ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere that set me up perfectly for the day. Would happily stay here again!

Luciano at the front desk is really something else! We stayed there just for one night and we were looking for a calm and clean space after a hectic day, what we found was a lovely big room with a view to the yard. The bed is really big, the room is very comfortable and I’m pretty sure you won’t regret spending the night in one of their accommodations.

The location is definitely excellent. The price is good. Unfortunately, there's no wardarobe (there's an open clothes rack), so the room always looks a bit messy, which I don't like. The cleanliness of the room is certainly excellent, as is that of the breakfast room. However, the carpeted stairs leading to the room had a cigarette butt on the same step for the entire five days of my stay, a sign that no one had vacuumed the place in five days. Overall, the experience was positive.
