We love the style and character of this hotel and will definitely stay here when we are able to come back to Berlin! The staff were kind and very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our room was quite spacious and the view was amazing! We had a small table and sitting area in our room which helped us feel very much at home. The location was perfect for us - we value walkability, easy access to public transportation and do not mind the sounds of a bustling city at night. The cafe downstairs was perfect for coffee and pastries in the morning and there were many food options very close by.

I stayed here while attending a conference. The hotel feels somewhat dated and could benefit from some renovation. My colleague and I were given a large room designed for up to four guests, which offered plenty of space and featured impressively high ceilings. The wall-to-wall carpet was not to my taste, and the sofa looked quite worn, with a few visible stains. There is a lack of cleanliness. On the positive side, the bathroom was modern, clean, and well-maintained. I would say the room has seen better days and probably had its peak a few decades ago, but it still retains a certain charm and character that newer hotels sometimes lack. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall A spacious and characterful hotel with friendly service, but guests looking for a more modern and updated experience may find the rooms somewhat outdated.

It's an older hotel that has charm. The location is sensational. I truly enjoyed my stay. I would stay again. It's clean and comfortable. The only down side is the pillows could be better.

It was really good! Good and comfortable neighbourhood, nice staff and my room was really good even though it was cheap enough.

Nice neighbourhood, secure rooms, tram stop 300m away, friendly and helpful staff, nice reception area. However, the rooms are small and dated, gaps in the door so it can be noisy, quite far away from the centre. Good for short stays if you can get a reasonable rate.

Room needs updated, drastically. You hear every noise from above, next door, in the hallway and especially from outside. Only 1 light worked in the bathroom, sink tap was either drip or spray. Uncomfortable bed and a gap in the door which meant light from the hallway shone through. Lesson learned, I’ll not be looking for budget anymore.

We booked a “non-smoking” room, but the room had a very noticeable smell of smoke, which made the stay uncomfortable. The carpets appeared quite worn and gave an overall impression of poor cleanliness. The breakfast was acceptable, and the location is good, so not everything was negative, but the condition of the room itself overshadowed those aspects.
