Made a booking by mistake and contacted the hotel immediately, they said they were going to help me cancel it free of charge but didn't and now I have been charged. Looks like they are struggliing that they need to keep my money for 1 night over having a longer terms customers, will no longer stay with them.

Exceptional Stay – Exceeded Every Expectation!|From the moment I checked in, the level of service was unmatched. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail of my stay was seamless, warm, and memorable. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, and the overall ambiance of the property was fascinating. A huge thank you to the team for their genuine hospitality—I will absolutely be back and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Although it is presented as a 5-star hotel, the service and overall quality are far below what I expected. The room was very cold, and I repeatedly asked for an electric heater. Instead of solving the problem, they simply sent me a blanket, even though I clearly explained that I needed proper heating for the room. Some of the staff were also not polite or respectful toward guests. I also booked a stay including breakfast and dinner buffet, but the food was very poor and extremely limited. There were so few options and the quality was so disappointing that I could barely eat anything. For a hotel of this category and price, I expected a much higher standard of service, hospitality, and food. In my opinion, the experience does not reflect a 5-star hotel at all.

We had a one night layover here on our way to another country - after a roughly 20-hour set of flights. The location was great - a short and free shuttle service that runs 24-hours a day, close to the airport. We arrived barely running on fumes and the check-in was fine, with friendly and helpful folks. We promptly crashed and slept until the next day, which is when we discovered some discomforting stains in the bathroom and on the fabric headboard on our bed - it seemed to be dried blood! We went down for breakfast and while there, informed the lobby staff. They seemed apologetic but didn't try and offer any sort of remidation, which was a shame. They also don't have complimentary water in the rooms but offer it in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was pleasant enough and we enjoyed it. Check out was fine and ride to the airport was great. All in all, make sure to check your room here as it may not have been turned over properly.

Got stuck here after my flight was cancelled, for me this feels like a luxury jail. Room is nice but the rest is completely worthless, not allowed to use the spa and there is completely nothing in the whole area. Would never come here again.

Response from the property

Hello Pjotr! I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience. Your feedback is invaluable, and we are committed to improving our services. We hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

This hotel is a solid option if you miss a connection and your next flight leaves early in the morning. The location near the airport is definitely its biggest advantage, and the shuttle service is a major plus. There isn’t much commercial shopping or entertainment around the area, so don’t expect to walk anywhere interesting. The rooms are comfortable and fairly priced—nothing luxurious, but good value for a short stay. One downside is the limited food and beverage schedule. The bar and restaurant close at 11:00 PM, leaving only room service available. That feels a bit early, especially for travelers who just missed a flight and might want to unwind with a drink. In the morning, the restaurant closes at 10:00 AM. They do offer service at the bar afterward, but I waited about 20 minutes and no one even offered water. The lobby coffee was also cold and low quality. Would I stay again? Probably yes—mainly because of the convenience and airport shuttle.

Where can I eat near Movich Buro 26?

Start at the hotel's own Ébano Restaurante Bogotá for a contemporary meal, and end the evening at Bar Iraka Bogotá with signature cocktails. For a quick bite or coffee, the hotel's Cafe is a convenient spot. Just outside, Restaurante Zona Gourmet is an 8-minute walk away, and a food shop, Mercafam Fontibon, is 1.5 km from the hotel. You can also explore the nearby residential area for more local dining options.

What is the area around Movich Buro 26 like?

The hotel sits along Av. El Dorado, close to El Dorado International Airport, in a low-rise residential zone with scattered parks. Mandalay TransMilenio and El Portal del Muelle are nearby, giving you quick bus access to the rest of Bogotá. The area is practical and calm, with everyday spots like a pharmacy within an 11-minute walk. For a change of scenery, the hotel's own Ébano Restaurante and Bar Iraka offer dining and drinks on site. Major sights like Mundo Aventura are about 7.7 km away, so plan a short ride to reach them.

How do I get to Movich Buro 26 from the airport or main train station?

From El Dorado International Airport, the hotel is a short trip of about 6.1 km. A taxi or rideshare takes roughly 8 minutes, which is the smoothest way to arrive. If you prefer public transport, buses run from the airport toward the hotel area. The hotel is also within walking distance at 1.8 km, though that takes about 21 minutes. There is no main train station listed nearby, so the airport is your arrival point. Just ask the driver for Av.

What's there to do near Movich Buro 26 in the evening?

For an evening out, start at the hotel's own Bar Iraka for signature cocktails and music, or dine at Ébano Restaurante Bogotá. The area around the hotel is residential with parks, so a short walk or quick ride can take you to nearby spots. Mandalay TransMilenio and El Portal del Muelle stations are close, making it easy to reach the city's evening sights. Mundo Aventura, about 7.7 km away, offers a fun outing, while Virrey Park at 8.6 km is a pleasant evening stroll. For a livelier scene, the city center with its museums and plazas is a bit further, so plan a taxi or transit ride.

Is Movich Buro 26 a good base for exploring Bogotá?

Movich Buro 26 is close to El Dorado International Airport, about 2.2 km away, which makes it convenient for quick arrivals and departures. The main sights are farther out: Mundo Aventura is 7.7 km, Virrey Park 8.6 km, and the Museo Nacional de Colombia 10.7 km. For exploring the city center, you would need a taxi, ride-hailing, or a pre-booked transfer to reach places like the Gold Museum or Plaza de Bolívar, both around 11.7 km. The hotel has its own restaurant, bar, and cafe, so you can start your day well before heading out. It works best as a base if you plan to use transport to get around, rather than walking to attractions.
