Stayed here for three nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The room was perfect (not too small and it was super clean with EVERYTHING in working order). I actually had to hunt for something to improve, but like many places, the popcorn ceiling is starting to separate from the ceiling. That could be fixed before it actually starts to fall off. We ate at the on site restaurant; it was wonderful!! The location is awesome. Walking distance to Boston Commons, Orange Line just steps away and lots of walkable food options (China Town is right there). Oh and if you are like me, I love a tub; room 430 had a tub. Oh, and don't let the noise scare you. Sure you will hear ambulance and people leaving the night club, but it isn't that bad.

if you are travelling in a wheelchair, DO NOT Stay at this hotel stay at this hotel. I checked into my ADA compliant room And saw that the king bed was way too high for me to transfer into.(I was told through online messaging the day before that the bed sits at 31" high) So I did what I have always done whenever traveling and in the same situation, especially at Hilton hotels, and requested engineering to come and assist me in lowering the bed so that I could transfer in and out with ease. When engineering showed up the young man quickly stated that he needed to run my request through management to see if that is something that they do. When he returned to the room with the manager, I made the same request to her when she explained that that is something that they cannot do. To my amazement I stated the request again and said there really is no other option because I was unable to transfer into a bed that sat so high. She simply stated again to me that it is management's decision that they are not able to help because the base of the bed sat on a solid wood frame. I pointed out that the bed frame was metal and that it could be lowered, because I have done this at every Hilton property I have ever stayed at. She then tried to offer other solutions one of which by asking if I had somebody traveling with me or if I had assistance, and said if I did she would then offer me a step stool to help me get into bed. I was flabbergasted at the suggestion, but give her credit for trying to suggest something. She also suggested that I sleep on the Chaise lounge chair situated in the room. She then offered to call around to other properties and hotels to see if they could accommodate me, On a Friday night at 7:00 PM I'm pretty sure she would have came up empty, so I did not accept the offer. So with no viable options on the table they figure it out on my own. With no help from the hotel I was forced to rely on strangers to assist me in lowering the bed. Decent human common courtesy would have led anyone to accept this reasonable accommodation request. The Doubletree Hilton property failed in assisting customers with disabilities, and by doing so this is negligence and borderline criminal. I did request for a full refund and the hotel did approve that request. Again if you are a person with a disability in a wheelchair I highly recommend NOT staying on this property.

We want to express our heartfelt appreciation for a particular staff member, Helaina. She went above and beyond to make our stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible. She was professional, efficient, and caring. We are blown away by her kindness and courtesy. All of the staff interactions we had were wonderful and meaningful. We felt like family. Because of Helaina and our overall experience, we have decided to become Hilton Honors members and to only book through Hilton for all of our lodging needs. We want to acknowledge her for her top-notch service and for making our family’s first trip to Boston one we will never forget.

This hotel is pretty outdated. We got stuck in elevators on the first night of the stay, so we started using the stairs ever since that happened to avoid another situation. The bathroom showers have really terrible water pressure. The location is in a walkable area near Chinatown and the fresh cookies are good.

The location alone is enough to make me stay here again, next door to Orange line and a 2 stop bus ride to South Station (Amtrak). Room was quiet, comfortable, clean and spacious. Gym was well equipped and you have access to YMCA next door. Staff were kind and bartenders were friendly. Drink prices were fair for downtown. It's a small thing, but they have this cool stairway that wraps around the elevator so you never need to use it if you don't mind a few steps every day. (Building is a converted school--read the plaque in the stairs.) Does not have a guest laundry but the laundromat a block away served my needs.

The hotel is located right next to, and across the road from, a hospital. This didnt cause any issues. Be aware that there is a subway close by and many homeless do hang around there.|We walked 15 minutes from the station, very easy to find. Its right in Chinatown (which is a bit rundown). Shops, the park, start of the walking trail are all within 5 minutes walk.|On entering the foyer you climb up a flight of stairs to reception. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on this level.|Right outside our window was a kids park, this came right up to the building. A playgroup used it and staff were using the outside window cill to store files etc, thats how close you are.|The bar is adequate and fairly well stocked. We didn't eat in the restaurant at all.|There seemed to be plenty of facilities, gym etc.|We checked out about 9am and left our bags in the store so we could have the morning in Boston before catching an afternoon Amtrak.|If we ever return to Boston we would stay here again.|Thank you, especially to the staff who were all helpful and friendly.

Room excellent, clean with good facilities. Good location. Excessive noise in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday morning due to nearby nightclub and traffic.

Rooms are pretty standard. Considering the price, they could be better. There’s no laundry, the hotel laundry service is fairly expensive if you only stay a couple of days but need to wash clothes after getting caught in the rain. The room also doesn’t include some basic amenities. The bathroom note says you can request them at the front desk if needed. It would be more convenient if they were provided in the room, like at most hotels.
