I stayed at Alvear Art for 8 nights in mid-September 2026 as part of a Gate 1 tour and had a great experience. The location is fantastic—just steps from the city center, Pacifico Mall, and Florida Street, with coffee shops, Rapanui ice cream, currency exchanges, Porto Cristal restaurant (my favourite), and the Gammas pastry shop. We were even able to walk to our ballet at the iconic Teatro Colón! The hotel itself is modern and nicely decorated with local art, although it's getting close to needing a refresh. My 9th-floor room was spacious, spotless, and very quiet despite the central location, featuring a comfortable bed and a bathroom with a separate toilet, shower, and water-jet tub. I believe you can request a power converter from the front desk, though I always bring my own when I travel. The breakfast buffet typical for hotel but included enough options for me. The service was exceptional across the board. Every staff member—from doormen and housekeeping to the front desk and restaurant team—was professional and welcoming. A special thank you to Charlie, the front desk manager, who quickly resolved a small issue with my bed upon arrival. Thank you all for a memorable stay!

A very attractive hotel, comfy room, nice bathroom. There was noise from outside on the street, but I like feeling part of the city.|It’s well situated for exploring the town as it’s near the Main Street. I was on my own and found it quite easy to go.and look around. The staff were helpful getting a taxi for me to get to art museums, and helping me get a taxi back.|I had a lovely meal in the very nice hotel restaurant.|The main problem I had was that over and over my room card wouldn’t open the door. Several times I had to go back to reception and someone had to come and unlock it.|Apart from that I really enjoyed my stay.

Modern hotel with compact rooms and spa baths. The hotel is within walking distance of the Theatre district, bustling Santa Fe Avenue, Plaza de Mayo and St Telmo market. Instead of a group check-in, we had to check in individually which takes a long time. Furthermore, instead of just taking a copy of the credit card, they also require you to key in your pin number. The rooms are compact but well designed - a firm bed, two arm chairs and a writing desk. The bathroom is luxurious with double wash basin, a spa bath and a separate toilet and bidet. The included breakfast is closer to standard fare (there is no egg station). There is also a gym, swimming pool and spa.

Amazing time at this hotel. The rooms were clean, and the ambiance was overall fantastic. Can we also take a moment to appreciate Iara, the lovely lady who attended to us in the dining area? She was incredibly professional, warm, and an absolute joy overall. Truly outstanding service.

This hotel is practically perfect. The rooms are large and our studio room had a huge bed and a really large, extremely well-appointed bathroom. The pool area on the 17th floor is a calm oasis with panoramic views of downtown Buenos Aires, a pleasantly warm pool and large, quite hot jacuzzi. Breakfast is very good and all the hotel staff are charming. So, just one teeny-weeny complaint. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, but no instructions for how to use the thing, and a notice saying guests can only have one coffee pod each per stay. Really? But that’s not enough to prevent me giving the hotel 5 stars.

Stayed here for two nights as part of a tour. Hotel is quiet, clean and welcoming with an excellent breakfast. The staff are so nice and welcoming a special mention to the young bar staff especially Augusto, Maricel and Agustina who are very attentive and cheerful. Gym and pool facilities very good also. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
