We had a great stay here as the staff are so helpful and friendly. Sebastian went above and beyond to help us out of a difficult situation which was so wonderful of him. Judy on reception was friendly and efficient and further helped by getting us into our room early which was much appreciated . We could walk to the esplanade from the hotel and a local coffee shop for great coffee. Breakfast was good and car parking on-site was also one of our requirements. Very happy we found this hotel.

This hotel lists itself as a 4 star but it is definitely not that - 3 star hotel at best. The rooms are serviceable, and very average. The included breakfast was so uninspired we didn’t bother. The hotel had one person at the front desk who is also responsible for arranging the breakfast and who knows what, but it was hard to find them when we needed them. For some reason the hotel address doesn’t clearly lead to the hotel’s front door and our Uber drivers had trouble finding it every time.

We were late arriving, which I had notified the property of. When checking in the guy at the desk was not the Aussie welcome I’d expected.He was short and dismissive.We left quite early the next morning and the same person ‘Russell’ was on reception and showed little regard or gratitude for our stay. It felt as though we were an inconvenience to him us being there.The room itself was pleasant.

Lovely hotel, a 5 minute walk from the Esplanade and a 15/20 minute walk to the busy end of the Esplanade. Lovely walk though so very enjoyable. Rooms have plenty of space and very comfortable as well as spotlessly clean. Great pressure on the shower and nice size bathtub (shower over bath, not separate). Staff on reception are very friendly and helpful (24 hour reception). Pool a tad smaller than I anticipated but there is so many lovely things to do/see in Cairns that we did not need to use the pool. Free parking. Highly recommend this hotel for a great place to stay in Cairns. Nice pub nearby for a drink/meal. I read some reviews about road noise but we did not hear anything. We did not eat breakfast or dinner at the hotel as we like to explore new places.

Lovely and helpful staff at reception. Unfortunately my room needed to be renovated. In particular the bathroom had the bath tub shower which was very narrow and uncomfortable to shower in which is the main reason it’s a 2 star. There was no complimentary biscuits or water provided. I had a couple of small bugs in the room one being a small cockroach. The restaurant downstairs had some very uninviting tribal figures just outside which did a great job of keeping us out. We did unfortunately have breakfast there one morning and it was a mistake. The eggs and bacon looked awful and I dared not partake. The pub next door was definitely the happening place to have dinner.

Very noisy, construction workers in EWP banging on the wall outside my window very early in the morning, I was on the 5th floor. No mention of disturbances due to maintenance on web site or at check in. Made a complaint to reception was assured the manager would follow up, no response. Very poor customer service. Rooms are basic and dated, no streaming services whatsoever on tv and wifi the slowest possible. Never again

Checked in at 0400 in the morning. Was extremely tired at the time, we just needed a shower and sleep. By the morning when the sun was up, we noticed mould over the roof, locks that weren’t secured, we had to request fresh linen each morning. Our room weren’t cleaned once during our stay, linen wasn’t changed once during our 3 day stay. The housekeeping never existed. I highly recommend YOU NEVER STAY AT THE CAIRNS SHERIDAN. Absolutely highly disappointed. I hate the fact I had to rate our stay with one star to be able to post anything. 🤬🤬🤬

The rooms have been refurbished and are very comfortable with a great king bed The shower in bath is the only indication of the age of the building. The price charged is very reasonable and good value.
