Hotel Caribe is a delightful stay for travellers who want both relaxation and lively amenities. The property is dotted with mature trees and landscaped areas where friendly animals roam, creating pleasant, natural interactions that are especially enjoyable for families and nature lovers. The peaceful, calm atmosphere makes it easy to unwind after a busy day. The swimming pool is excellent — well maintained and thoughtfully arranged to screen FIFA 2026 matches, so you can catch the games poolside without missing a beat. The bar is a highlight: spacious, well-stocked, and run by welcoming, attentive staff who make for a warm, social evening. Bedrooms are large and comfortable, with tasteful décor and a quiet setting that ensures good rest. Food is convenient and varied; buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner are reliably available and simplify dining for travellers on tight schedules. Small improvements could be made in service speed during peak meal times, but overall the dining experience is solid. In short, Hotel Caribe combines natural charm, great leisure facilities, and friendly service — a highly recommended choice for a restful, enjoyable stay.

This is a very nice hotel in Cartagena. The location is a couple miles from the walled city - you may have to take a cab. But there are several eating establishments and souvenir shops nearby. The hotel itself is very nice. It is clean and has air conditioning which you'll appreciate because Cartagena is hot. The rooms are spacious with lots of room to spread out. The staff is helpful and accommodating. They have a buffet breakfast which was delicious - eggs, sausage, fruit, bread, cheese, meats, juice, potatoes, etc. The hotel has a couple different restaurants. We only tried the one for breakfast because there were several places to eat close to the hotel. There are deer, tucans, and peacocks around the grounds. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. Bathroom and floors are clean. We would definitely stay here again.

I love the presence of animals on the grounds. The Olympic pool was the perfect temperature and the beach club was nice. We had an ocean view room with 2 Queen beds, but I would have appreciated 1) a chair in the room, 2) daily bottled water, not just on the first day, 3) more hand towels, 4) Kleenex, and 5) body lotion. Also the food at the restaurant and beach club was good, but the latter does not offer desserts.

Although I enjoyed my stay, it was not what I expected. My room had several maintenance and cleanliness issues: * The window was broken and poorly sealed. * The edges of the bathtub were completely black with mold and grime. * On the third day, housekeeping took the towels but never replaced them. * There were no power outlets next to the bed to charge a phone. * The desk was chipped and looked poorly maintained. * There was mold on the ceiling above the closet. * There was no room directory with information on how to contact the different hotel services, and the phone did not even work for local calls. * The Wi-Fi barely worked during my stay. The staff was friendly and courteous, but even if this is an older hotel, it clearly needs investment in renovations, maintenance, and cleanliness. In my opinion, this is a 3-star hotel, not what I expected.

lovely Hotel and nice and comfortable accomodation next to the beach with mainly nice people, tasty food and refreshing pools. BUT: aggressive people inside the Hotel trying to sell sort of stocks to the guests, something I have never experienced into any Hotel stay over my last several decades of travel. Also the Hotel needs some sort of renovation as air condiitions is loud and fails once in a while, plus water pressure is not sufficient to get up to the 5th floor.

My room was very dirty upon arrival. I did an early check in and I was ok with waiting for the room to be ready. However when I finally got into the room the sheets had stains on them, the bathroom had random hair on the floor and bathtub, there was stains up and down the toilet that looked like someone might've peed or body fluid that dripped down the toilet and wasn't cleaned. As well as stains on the walls & doors. I also had a not so good experience at the hotel poolside restaurant where I waited an hour for chicken, and I was overcharged for the meal. The menu price said one price and once I paid, I got back to my room and checked my bank card. I was charged over $10 more than what was listed and I'm almost sure the waiter added her own gratuity. I realized it when I got back to my room. I decided to let these concerns go since this was my first time traveling out of the country solo and I was scared to make myself a target for mistreatment. The hotel room was also very worn down, and the toilet consistently clogged up

Our stay at this hotel was incredible! My husband and I came to celebrate our honeymoon and my birthday! Our room was decorated with rose petals and balloons upon our arrival, and a gift was waiting for us. I was congratulated with a cake and candle at breakfast! I'd like to especially thank Andrea and Marellyn for attention and organization of this special surprise for us)))

As a solo black traveler some of the staff were not friendly and they catered more to people that spoke Spanish. I thought it could be the frustration of dealing with a language barrier but some wouldn’t greet you after I initiated the greeting. The free drink is limited to one type of drink which was not express at check in. Therefore there was confusion at the bar and same thing happened to another black guest. Besides that check in was smooth and they were kind, as well as the bellmen’s. The hotel is really clean and the breakfast was good. Just have to get there early on the weekends to get a seat. We had to search for places outside to sit. You get a complementary wine bottle. The place is just ok.
