Great Location and Amenities, but Maintenance, Food, and Service Need Major Improvement The hotel is in a fantastic location with access to a beautiful beach and a peaceful private relaxation area. The pool area is very lovely, and the massage services were wonderful. Additionally, most of the Filipino staff throughout the resort were very attentive, warm, and friendly. However, our overall experience was heavily let down by several issues. The hotel requires much better interior maintenance. While it is kept clean, there is a very noticeable humid feel and a strong musty/damp smell in both the rooms and common areas, which is quite uncomfortable. The food was also very disappointing across the board. Breakfast in particular was a total nightmare—we had to wait over 20 minutes just to get a table. Furthermore, the check-in experience was extremely poor, starting our stay on a frustrating note. With proper ventilation/humidity control, better dining management, and front desk training, this property could be much better.

Location is great although about 45 mins drive from the city, easy to get Grab rides and there are abundance of cafes and marts around the area. Guests are eligible for private beach entrance and the area is quite newly developed, less cars and very joggers-friendly. While the service is good with the "good morning maam and sir" greetings, the housekeeping is a bit mediocre for a 4-star hotel. We came back to our rooms with the beds well-made however the floor was left unswept with dirts, hair and dust from previous days which make us quite uncomfortable. They didn't replace the bathrobes and towels properly and we had to make a few phone calls. When we receive it, the bathrobes were a bit torn - there were holes at the bottom. The lift is also operating at a slow rate, waiting time was long - for a 4-star hotel this is not very acceptable. They made an initial call when we first check-in to check with us whether the room was okay so that was a good start. However upon checking out, they asked us to wait while they check the room before releasing us but did not even ask how our stay was for the 4 nights. If they did, we could have raised all this points for their betterment. While the service is good, there is still lots of areas for improvement. Other than the above, the stay was overall good and the cafe served good coffee and pastries.

Great value for money in Mactan! We booked a basic twin room through Agoda for just over ₱3,000, accommodating 2 adults and 2 kids. While breakfast wasn't included in our rate, it’s reasonably priced at around ₱600 per person. The hotel amenities are fantastic. The pool and gym are open until 10:00 PM, and you can conveniently order food and drinks right at the poolside restobar. A special shoutout to their safety standard, they have a standby lifeguard who actively monitors the pool area, giving parents extra peace of mind. Location-wise, it is the second hotel nearest to the sea, and getting over to the Mactan Newtown resort area is a breeze, whether you prefer to walk or take a quick ride. What truly sets them apart is their remarkable customer service. They have 24/7 operator assistance, and when we asked to borrow a balloon pump, they gladly lent us one without hesitation! Practical touches like the water dispensers available in the lobbies also ensure you never have to worry about drinking water supply. Highly recommended for families looking for an affordable, comfortable, and accommodating stay near the beach!

My family, including our 2 medium-sized dogs, enjoyed our overnight stay in this hotel despite being jam-packed due to several events being held in the hotel. We loved the rooms due to the very cozy bed and air conditioning and complimentary coffee and purified water (there were dispensers in the hallway), fridge, toiletries, slippers, and bathrobe (you don't usually get a robe in standard or superior rooms cause they usually provide that in suites or VIP rooms but here they provide it for you). The breakfast buffet was average too, you just had to wait in line if you arrive in their cafe by 8AM - 9AM because the Cafe had limited space. Parking a car was mostly the downside but other than that, we loved our stay. You can ask our dogs for their testimony too! Haha

We had an unexpected stay at Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown after our flight was canceled and rescheduled by Philippine Airlines, and overall, we had a very comfortable experience at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of. We really appreciated the round-trip free transportation from and to the airport, which made everything much more convenient and stress-free during an already tiring travel situation. The hotel also provided us with a free dinner, which we truly enjoyed, and the breakfast buffet the next morning was sumptuous and satisfying with a good variety of food choices. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for resting before our rescheduled flight. Overall, we’re thankful for the warm accommodation and smooth experience during an unexpected change in our travel plans. Savoy Hotel Mactan definitely made the situation much easier and more comfortable for us.

I am quite particular when it comes to hotel stays, especially the bed, bedroom layout, and bathroom. Overall, my stay at Savoy Hotel in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu has been okay so far. The bedroom has a typical modern style, which I like. It has a proper table where I can work comfortably, and the bathroom is a good size. The room temperature control is easy to use and responsive. The bed and guest comfort items are clean, which is always important for me. The only concern I had in the room was the hot water. It takes quite some time to warm up, and even then, it does not get as hot as what I usually experience in other hotels. I also had an issue with the key card, but the staff addressed it appropriately. The buffet is fair enough—nothing fancy, but acceptable. For our conference room, the technicians were helpful and responsive. The only issue was that they did not have a Mac adapter for the projector. Thankfully, another delegate had a Microsoft laptop, so the problem was solved. Overall, the stay has been okay. I will be here for another day, so I may still have more to experience and observe.

Location is great. It’s near the airport, near the beach, many restaurants and convenience stores around. However the cleanliness of the hotel has so much more to improve. Pillowcases smelled used, so I had it replaced. The duvet cover also has some nasty smell. They do not clean daily. And when they do, they don’t replace towels. They are nice when I’m asking for assistance, but clean sheets and pillows should be a standard and I shouldn’t ask for it pa. Their pool on the third floor is not that safe for children, as some of the tiles are quite lifted up, and it could cause small cut if you’re not careful. But their infinity pool near the beach is great, it’s big and clean. However, water there is expensive, so bring some with you if you decide to go.

I am quite sad on the condition of the rooms as when I arrived, it took time for me to check-in even I arrived at around 10-11pm. They mentioned the supervisor needs to check the room. But then, it took time and when I came in my room, it smells super good but I know it might be because they just cleaned and sprayed the room. I saw the floor was still a bit wet.. but the room carpet was a bit dirty, there was some dirt on the floor like they did not sweep it but just mopped directly. And the cr bowl had a blood stain when I wiped using a tissue.. the cr door also was not clean. Vault has rust already. Really sad but I commend the staff tho as they are helpful downstairs. They gave me a complementary fruit plate the next day. And they are helpful when loading my luggage There is a lot to improve on. As I did not expect it to be this way specially if you pay the price from their website. Hope they can maintain this hotel.. it should be good.. Breakfast by the way is enough though presentation and overall cleanliness can be improved :)
