Here’s a balanced review you could use:I had a very pleasant stay at the Wanda Reign Hotel. The property itself is beautiful, with an impressive appearance and a stunning lobby that creates a luxurious first impression. The lobby staff were welcoming, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my stay.Breakfast was another highlight, offering a good selection of quality food in a pleasant setting. The room was also very clean and comfortable, which made for an enjoyable experience overall.There were a few areas that could be improved. My room was missing a teapot, which was a minor inconvenience. The room could also benefit from some small maintenance touch-ups. Additionally, some guests in nearby rooms were quite loud at times, which affected the otherwise peaceful atmosphere.Overall, the hotel offers a beautiful and comfortable stay with excellent service, and I would gladly consider staying again.

Most amazing hotel. Impressive, grand, comfortable & luxurious. Value for money. Friendly, professional & helpful staff. Our personal bartler 77 goes beyond her duties to make us feel welcome & cared for. Definitely return here for our next visit to Chengdu. Also fantastic is Ellowen Yang at the executive lounge. 5-Star for sure!

I stayed at this Wanda Reign for 5 nights in September 2025. There were a few things I really really liked about this hotel - the room was big and comfortable, the AC worked well, the massage chair in the room, the walk-in closet for luggage and clothes. The breakfast buffet was amazing and totally worth it - fresh pastries, fresh juice, and a whole mix of Western and Chinese items. There were a few things that I kinda disliked about this hotel. I was using an eSim to get around the great firewall and my room had terrible cell reception (despite being on the 37th floor). While laying in bed I could barely get a signal, and I would lose connection repeatedly. To maintain a stable signal I had to sit by the window or go upstairs to the lobby/restaurant area. It genuinely irked me. I thought the location of this hotel was not amazing. There is a single 7/11 located close by, and a couple local eateries around the corner. Despite what one of the other reviews says about nearby shopping areas, the major shopping centers are a good 20-25 minute walk away. Additionally, the metro stations are a bit far- it's roughly a 12 minute walk to the Jinjiang Hotel station on line 1 or a 14 minute walk to the Xinnanmen station on Line 3/17. In theory these are not terrible commutes but the reality is that this hotel is peripheral to Chunxi Road and Tianfu Square, and getting to these locations takes time.

Came here for honeymoon with my wife and we had an amazing stay. Hotel staffs was friendly and accommodative. I’d definitely come back. PS hotel lunch was amazing. The Steak is something worth paying for.

Wanda Reign provides an unforgettable, ultra-luxurious experience. From the breathtaking jade carvings in the sky lobbies to the state-of-the-art room tech and marble bathrooms, it perfectly balances opulent design with top-tier service, making it an exceptional choice for premium travelers.Breakfast is served on the 41st floor and it is nothing short of extraordinary. Don Dong was the staff member who was very helpful and spoke good English.

The ground floor reception was already grand enough and we were blown away by the actual lobby at the 41st floor. We were also delighted by our rooms which went towards making our stay at Chengdu that much more memorable. We will definitely book Wanda Reign again if we ever return.

This is on of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! I am so glad we stayed there in our visit to Chengdu. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the room was big and comfortable. It even had a massage chair! The breakfast had a huge variety of food, both Chinese and western style. The pastry section was also amazing, including cakes, cookies, croissants and other. Swimming pool was also great and finally, the views are great

Amazing stay. The hotel is a legacy type 5 star, and while it may not have the bells and whistles that come with new boutique hotels, like AI voice commands, it boasts thoughtful service and makes you feel welcome. The bedside controls allow you to operate the lights and curtains, providing a breathtaking view worthy of a penthouse. A dedicated staff member is assigned to you and ensures all your needs are well met. The bathroom is amazing as well, with a bath tub and accompanying view of the skyline, a strong rain shower, and an automated toilet. The room also has a massage chair, which will be very useful after all the shopping and exploring. To ensure you have a good night's sleep, they even offer choices of different pillows, huggable soft toys, scents, background sounds, and reading materials! Highly recommended.
