Start with The Ping Restaurant for authentic Thai dishes, and the Cafe and Lobby bar for lighter bites and drinks. The Veranda, an open-air terrace by the pool, also serves food and beverages from the restaurant and bar. For more choices, the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar is a few minutes away on foot with many casual eateries. You can also explore the area around the Ping River for local dining spots.
The hotel sits on Charoen Prathet Road near the Ping River, in the heart of Chiang Mai's tourist area. You can walk to the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and the river pier for cruises in just a few minutes. The old city, with its moat and many temples, is a short tuk-tuk ride away. The streets around are lively, with the Saturday and Sunday walking streets nearby. The hotel itself has a garden and pool if you want to stay close.
From Chiang Mai International Airport, taxis and ride-hailing are the easiest way to reach the hotel, about 4.1 km away. The hotel also offers airport transfers, which you can arrange in advance. If arriving by train, Chiang Mai Railway Station is 1.4 km from the hotel, about a 23-minute walk. Alternatively, a short taxi or tuk-tuk ride from the station will get you there quickly. For either arrival point, you can also pre-book a private transfer through the hotel for a smoother trip.
In the evening, the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar is a short walk from the hotel, offering a lively setting with shops and local crafts. The hotel also has a bar and lobby bar for a relaxed drink on-site, plus a cafe and restaurant for dining. For a different vibe, the old city's walking streets, like Ratchadamnoen Road, are a short tuk-tuk ride away, known for evening markets and local life. The Ping River is close by, and night safari is several kilometers away, requiring a taxi or ride-hailing service to reach.
Ping Nakara places you right by the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and the Ping River, with the old city's temples a short hop away. Wat Chedi Luang is 2.1 km, Three Kings Monument 2.2 km, and Wat Chiang Man 2.3 km, so you can walk the central sights comfortably. For farther temples like Wat Umong Suan Putthatham at 5.5 km or Wat Phra That Doi Suthep at 9.2 km, a taxi or tuk-tuk gets you there easily. The nearby night bazaar and fresh market make it a lively spot to return to. It's a solid base for both the old city and trips out to Doi Suthep or the Night Safari.
