I never developed such hostility towards a hotel in 20 years of traveling. I hope you can avoid what I had to gone through. Here, hospitality is scarce and service none. You deserve better accommodations elsewhere.1. 30+mins check in. Granted, long lanes are typical during peak hours, but queue moves especially slow here due to 1) only two front desk staffs 2) they have to explain the $89.95 mandatory guest package + 18% recovery fee.2. Guest call rarely answeredI have to phone multiple times to get hold of someone. Front desk rarely answer the call. Oh they don’t have coffee machine(can’t speak for other rooms) because in-room coffee service is included in the mandatory guest package. Ironically, how to get your coffee service if no one is answering the phone?3. Breakfast buffet is good, but made-to-order breakfast is horrible. (Buffet only weekend?)For the latter, after sitting myself, as the sign posts, I waited 15 mins before a waitress came and asked what do I want to order. BUT, I was never given the menu. “Can I order anything?” so I asked, naïvely. The waitress sighed and handed me the menu. With hope I ordered the American breakfast, with hash brown and fruit cup on the side. Hope dimmed after overhearing the couple by the window received foods bearing little resemblance of what they’ve ordered. After reading 40 pages of Stephen King, couple news articles and overnight unread email, I could be patient no more. Where’s ma food?? Clock hit 10:00 a waitress appeared from behind the scene and immediately she shut the front door and closed the curtain. Show’s over - at least they were quick when call it a day. Where’s ma food??Finally a gentlemen noticed and asked what did I order. “American breakfast, hash browns and fruit cup on the side.” - Thank you. He returned almost immediately with the American breakfast with missing sausages(the ones at the buffet have a mild apple taste which was good) - hash browns have apparently taken its spot - and no fruit cup. I quickly went through half the omelette with already solidified cheese in it and rushed out. This review is not about getting compensated or sorting things out with the hotel, but to help my fellow travelers avoid a hospitality desert.

I had a wonderful experience with this hotel and especially want to thank the housekeeping team and management for their honesty and care. I accidentally left my jewelry in my room and realized after checking out. The housekeeper found all of them and immediately turned them in to her manager, and I was able to get everything back safely. I am incredibly grateful and impressed by their professionalism and integrity. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Hi, My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed our visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The only small suggestion I have is that the blankets looked quite old, which didn’t give the most welcoming first impression. Replacing or updating them would make the rooms feel even better. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options, and everything was refilled promptly throughout the morning. The guest service was outstanding from start to finish. A special thanks to Ken at the front desk during check-in—he was incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We also had a great experience at the bar. Mariah, the bartender, took the time to help my wife and me find the perfect drinks based on our preferences. Her recommendations were excellent and made our evening even more enjoyable. We really appreciated the breakfast, drinks, and dinner coupons that the hotel provided—they added great value to our stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Chicago, Illinois. Highly recommended!

I strongly would not recommend this hotel. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room smelled musty and old, half of the towels came with strands of hair on them, the bathroom floor was visually dirty, and I think they use the same shower curtain in between guests because it was visually not clean. The pictures look nothing like how the room looked like in real life. The pictures show nice hardwood floor, but the room I stayed in had old carpet, and in the corners of the rooms behind chairs, I could see large dust blobs that hotel staff didn't vacuum. They also did not properly make the bed. There was no fitted sheet, and instead, a loose sheet sat on top of the mattress, and it was not even tucked it on the sides because it was not large enough. The water in the sink and shower was also very chlorine(?) heavy. After each shower, my hair felt dry and almost stringy, like how it feels after swimming in a chlorinated pool. When I left the hotel and showered at my regular shower, my hair felt back to normal. I was using my normal hair products the whole time, so the only difference was the water. Service was not good either. Hotel cleaning service happens on the 3rd day of your stay which the front desk tells you upon check-in, However, they didn't come to clean my room until the 4th day of my stay, and I had to specifically request it. The only good thing about this hotel was that it did not have bed bugs, which is the bare minimum. They also provided water bottles each day which was nice.

Not sure what's up with all the poor reviews here. This hotel needs no introduction. It has historical importance. Located in a beautiful, green, and peaceful area, it looks and feels busy, welcoming local and international guests. Simple but clean rooms, great breakfast (continental offered at the bar), and a full breakfast ordered right across from the bar area (with $35 bf coupon/guest provided to us during check-in, as well as 2 bottles of water/guest - our booking was through Airbnb). Check-in was fast. We also used valet parking. We wished we could stay longer!

This was my second time here, and this time my husband joined me. He was just as impressed as I was! Mariah and Yesenia provided amazing service—they were attentive, friendly, and made sure our drinks and food were perfect. A special shoutout to Chef Gia for taking the time to step out of the kitchen to greet customers. That personal touch really made the experience even more memorable. Excellent food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

Hotel charged us 142$ for some guest club thing that I did not book or ask for but wouldnt let us check in without it! Also the towels leave white lint all over the body absolutely horrible quality. Breakfast did not include a lot of options! Rooftop is nice and the people working there are nice! And the location is great! But because of the extra charge that is apprently optional but they still forced to pay and none of them tried to find a solution. I had to sit in the lobby for 2 hours talking to capital one teying to find a solution and ended up missing my 10pm reservation! For this reason i wouldnt come back here
