I'll start with an important note: we stayed in the residence and not directly in the standard hotel. That said the residence is extraordinary and beautiful. You cannot ask for a better location and the entire apartment is grand. The check-in is done through an app so you have no reason to go to the hotel if you don't need to. We however did decide to go to the hotel because we wanted to see and experience it as well. I told the front desk staff we were in the residence but wanted to check out the hotel. The reaction was cold and they seemed to almost be bothered, but then another, friendlier woman came by and offered us a quick a tour of the lobby and bar area. We explored the rooftop on our own and stayed for a drink in the bar. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant which was fine at best. After that we decided to just enjoy and stay in the residence and not go back to the main hotel again. Our apartment was cleaned and restocked daily and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. I understand they may be intentionally separate experiences, but given its the highest price room you can book, I would have expected more hospitality.

Hotel Sanders is an absolute gem in Copenhagen. The design is impeccable down to the smallest detail—elegant, thoughtful, and effortlessly beautiful. The staff are exceptionally attentive and warm, making you feel genuinely cared for from the moment you arrive. The restaurant is excellent and perfectly complements the atmosphere of the hotel. What struck me most, though, is how immediately Sanders felt like home. It has that rare combination of sophistication, intimacy, and soul that makes you want to return before you’ve even left. It has certainly become my home in Copenhagen, and will remain so.

The most amazing 'home away from home' especially when traveling alone visiting beautiful Copenhagen. The most friendly and attentive staff in all departments. There is a roof top bar area (very popular) and many other wonderful areas to enjoy a meal or a Matteo 🥂 Bicycle to rent although the location is superb for walking to the center of the city. Comfortable room with Nespresso and little treats. A lovely robe and the most comfortable bed! Made up 'European style' which is how I love my bed to be.

Extremely poor value for money, not recommended I genuinely cannot understand how this hotel justifies charging around €1,200 for a room. The room was surprisingly small, with the same basic layout and facilities you would expect from a very standard hotel. The service was also disappointing. Check-in was strictly at 3:00 pm, and although our room was already prepared, the staff refused to let us enter even at 2:45 pm. We were made to wait until exactly 3:00 for no apparent reason. This felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming, especially for a hotel in this price category. Breakfast was another frustrating experience. The courtyard was extremely noisy, apparently because of construction next door, and we could barely hear each other speaking. I ordered an omelette, but after waiting for 40 minutes, it still had not arrived. When I finally reminded the staff, they brought an omelette that was not even what I had ordered. Overall, the room, service, and breakfast experience were nowhere near the standard expected at this price. Copenhagen has many hotels offering significantly better rooms and service at much more reasonable prices. I would not recommend staying here.

Everything was absolutely wonderful at Hotel Sanders! The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere is just magical. You can feel that everything has been thought through to the last detail - so stylish, cozy and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Warmest recommendations!

Everything at Hotel Sanders exceeded expectations. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily walk everywhere, including the beautiful harbor. The staff were friendly and helpful, rooms well appointed, and food delicious. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

Revised review for Trip‑Advisor Horrible and deeply disappointing experience with misleading communication from the front‑desk. I have booked luxury accommodation through Citi Ultima for more than ten years, and this is easily the worst hotel encounter I have had over that decade. I arrived at Hotel Sanders at 9:00 this morning. I fully understood early check‑in could not be guaranteed from the very beginning. The front‑desk staff advised me they would send a text message to notify me once my room became ready, so I left the hotel and went out. I returned to the hotel at 13:30, having received no notification text at all. Only upon my arrival was I told firmly that official check‑in is strictly 15:00. If the hotel intended to stick rigidly to the 3 PM check‑in rule, this should have been made clear to me at 9 AM. Instead the front desk gave an implied promise of a text update, which never arrived, leaving me with no certainty about when I could access my room and disrupting my whole day’s plans. For a high‑end boutique luxury hotel, this level of vague, unfulfilled communication is unprofessional and disappointing. As a long‑standing premium traveller, I expect far better reliability and transparency. This experience has tarnished my impression of Hotel Sanders and I cannot recommend this property to other luxury‑minded guests.
