This experience was death by a thousand cuts: After a 6 hour trip, I laid down on the bed with my own pillow that I brought with me. Within 5 minutes, my nose was burning. I had no idea what happened. Until, I recognized the strong smell. There was Tiger Balm on the hotel bedding and pillows that spread to my hair and face and my own pillow. Apparently, house keeping DID NOT replace pillow cases after the last guest that must have used the strong ointment and it spread to me. I had to throw away my pillow and pillow covering. Problem is I had neck surgery and needed that pillow! Next, when I went into the bathroom, there was a very large hair ball and a sticky substance holding it together. It was disgusting. I guess housekeeping pulled the nasty hair ball from a broom or vacuum cleaner and thew in it the toilet and didn’t flush. Next, when I placed the key card into the slot to turn on the power, it didn’t work. I went to the reception desk and it smelled so badly like cigarettes that I walked away. The receptionist followed me asking what happened. He smokes, all night, in the small office next to the reception desk and it fills the entire bottom floor. It took over an hour for him to figure out what to do to get the power on, that included him trying to call the hotel manager but he could not be reached. It was only 7 pm. This could be solved if their was a manager on the property. But there is NO management around, only by Zalo messenger. How do I know? That was the only way I could reach him, after the fact. The next day too, no manager. Advice to this hotel: Go manage your property and staff, and receptionists that are smoking when you are away and housekeepers that aren’t’ changing the bedding between guests or cleaning the bathrooms properly. For the price point, this was a very bad experience

We had 3 nights stay at Canary Hotel for our New Year vacation. We are couple with one dog and this hotel is extremely pet friendly. Although the room was not really big but got everything that we need. Nice view to the valley nearby. Breakfast with not too many dishes but quality is great. The kitchen here does serve meals during the day and foods are above average. I would highly recommend this hotel if you dont really need to stay near the city center.

The room was well-decorated, and impeccably clean, and the breakfast buffet was extensive, catering to all tastes with fresh. Our regular hotel couldn't accommodate us so we checked-in here for one night. In the morning they had this scam if you dirty anything in the room they charge you extra for cleaning... As if it costs more to wash something... Because there was no space in the room I put one of our suitcases on the bed cover. It was such a small dirt mark that would have washed out anyway. Totally Scam. Totally dishonest.

Stayed there a couple of nights in January 2021 and have no complaints whatsoever. The hotel is quite new and our room is clean and functional and the staff are super friendly. We elicited the help of a hotel staff (I think her name is Tran Anh) to help us book a limo bus to Mui Ne and we couldn't be more thankful when she went out of her way to find us alternatives when our ride got cancelled last minute. Very satisfied with our stay especially considering the very reasonable price (which includes a decent breakfast of pho or banh mi). It is a bit of a distance from the city center but with a scooter it wasn't a big deal for us to ride 5 minutes into town for food and shopping. Thank you Canary Dalat for a great stay!
