Located at the heart of Cannaught Place, this transit hostel-cum-hotel is supposed to be the plush property it claims to be. In vain. Indeed, it holds all amenities - a fitness center, a swimming pool, a tennis court and a restaurant along with a convention center. Also, carries the boast of having considerably larger land-space at a prime spot in New Delhi. However, that's pretty much it. The downsides outweigh the few pluses (i.e if you like them as a plus). Be advised that despite a mid-range daily tariff YMCA doesn't follow general standards of hygiene, hospitality etiquettes and even room amenities. Indeed, it doesn't hurt to stay here for a day if one's travelling for business/leisure where one plans to stay out for better part of the day. However, it is still a massive let down when the money's value is far from all returns. The morbidly slow yet, conniving staff gave lame excuses for delayed orders, the cleanliness of rooms was questionable and even a let down (despite several requests). My first alloted room didn't even have wiped tables and lavratories, or even a working landline. Not to forget, the furniture was worn out and cracking in places. The airconditioners had a story worth avoiding, too. Now that I sense, it reminds of those missionary day-schools - an air of sour superiority in the staff, a touch of lameness and a whole lot of jazz. Well, "all that jazz" and no music. Beware of staying here ever, till you don't have an option. Truly Disappointing! (2 stars sheerly for the location and proximity)

Connaught Place and very quiet because it's near government offices. However, I couldn't use the hot water at night, and there was no hair dryer in the room until I asked. Most of the facilities are really old.

YMCA Tourist Hostel offers a warm and comfortable experience with great hospitality. Every staff member, from reception and room cleaning to the restaurant, demonstrates a welcoming attitude that creates a homely feeling each time you return. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve experienced and makes for a great dining experience. The rooms are well-maintained and equipped with sufficient amenities. The location is also one of the best in Delhi, with close proximity to India Gate and Jantar Mantar.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Great location in the heart of Connaught Place, within walking distance of many of Delhi’s main attractions, restaurants, and metro connections. The staff was one of the highlights of the stay: everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The included meals were also a pleasant surprise and offered excellent value for the price. The room, however, was the weakest part of the experience. Despite booking what was supposed to be a suite, the furniture felt quite dated, the bed was only moderately comfortable, and the bathroom needs significant improvement. There was a strong sewage smell coming from the drain, noticeable limescale buildup in the toilet, and no toilet paper was provided. The only service issue I encountered was at check-in. Since I had booked through Booking.com with payment at the property, I expected to be able to pay by credit card. Instead, I was told that only cash would be accepted, which was inconvenient and not clearly communicated beforehand. Overall, this is a good budget-friendly option in a fantastic location, with excellent staff and food. If the rooms and bathrooms were renovated, it would easily deserve a higher rating.

Stayed for Two days here, the worst hotel staying expierence for sure till date. Smelly Rooms Smelly Linen Unhygienic Toilets and the most unprofessional arrogant staff. They will charge you extra for breakfast and not highlight the same in Tariff. They follow diffrent process which only they can understand. Also the best rooms are reserved for people coming from a particualar strata of sources. Food was Pathetic. There was nothing good about this place rather then its location. Spend some more bucks and get a decent hotel. Dont stay Here.

Most arrogant staff as expected from all other reviews. Convenient location and okay room service. I could only recommend this place if you plan a short stay where location matters.

Everything I like the stay there. Thsey even cooked for my 7 month old baby I took ingredients with me but forgot to take kettle with me,so I asked them if they cook the porridge for my they accepted even head of restaurant and cooks are so helpful am very thankful to them

Intercom does not work, TV remote was not given, Tea Maker was not there, Centralised AC with 1 side was not working, Bath Water was like from Years Water Tank would have not cleaned, Taps were rusted, Towels were dirty, Furniture was in bad shape.. Way too expensive in comparison to Amenities, Rooms, furniture, service , etc..
