It’s wonderful to hear that the garden and its view over the historic city walls made such an impression and that the spring flowers were in full bloom during your stay 🌸 ! Your kind words about our team truly mean a lot. We’re always happy to share a moment of exchange, whether in English or French, it sounds like a perfect cultural balance ! You are steps from several good options. Try the creperies in the historic center: Crêperie Ahna on Rue de la Poissonnerie and Crêperie du Roy on Rue de la Lainerie are both close. A little further, Le Poisson Ivre on the port offers fish dishes. Near Place Duclos, Brasserie Le Bretagne serves traditional brasserie food, and Miette on Grand Rue is a popular French spot. For tea and light meals, Au Palais d’Or is right on Place du Champ Clos, a short walk away.
You are in the heart of Dinan's historic center, within a 4-minute walk of the medieval streets and timber-framed houses. The Tour de l'Horloge and Château de Dinan are both just a few minutes away, as is the Basilique Saint-Sauveur. The Jerzual Gate, leading down to the old port, is a 5-minute walk. For a green break, the Val Cocherel Garden is right next door. The hotel itself has a bar and a patio with tables, perfect for settling in after exploring. The area is very walkable, and the MUSÉE 39-45 is an 11-minute stroll if you want to go a bit further.
The nearest main station is Dinan, a 12-minute walk from the hotel, or a short municipal bus ride. From Rennes–Saint-Jacques Airport, about 37 miles away, take a taxi or pre-booked transfer, or ride the Breizhgo bus line 7 to Dinan. By car from Rennes or Paris, take the N12 toward Brest/Rennes, exit at Dinan, then follow the RN176 and D770 into the center. From Saint-Malo or Dinard, use the D768 then D137, entering through the ramparts to Place du Champ Clos.
For an evening out, the hotel's own bar is a relaxed spot for a drink, and the patio is lovely. A 4-minute walk brings you to the historic centre, where Au Palais d'Or and Le n°1 de la Place are nearby for dinner or a late drink. You'll also find Crêperie la Bigoudène a short stroll away. The Jerzual Gate and Centre historique are perfect for a post-dinner wander under the old streetlights. The port, with its riverside restaurants, is a pleasant evening walk if you fancy a change of scene.
Yes, the hotel is a great base for exploring Dinan on foot. You can reach Val Cocherel Garden in 1 minute, Tour de l'Horloge in 2 minutes, and Château de Dinan or Basilique Saint-Sauveur in just 3 minutes. The Centre historique de Dinan is a 4-minute walk, and Jerzual Gate is 5 minutes away. Even the MUSÉE 39-45 - MÉMORIAL BRETAGNE - DINAN is only an 11-minute stroll. With the historic center this close, you can easily wander the sights without needing a car. For anything beyond, the station and town are also within a short walk.
