Our stay at the Alex was absolutely perfect! Upon arriving after an overnight flight the couple we were traveling with and us were told we were chosen as VIPs for the day and upgraded to suites. It was the perfect way to start our trip after a long flight. The rooms were clean, the beds cozy and service delightful. Would go out of our way to stay here again. Megi was especially great at the front desk.

My wife and I stayed at The Alex Hotel for one night and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our room was spacious, beautifully presented, and spotlessly clean. The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere, and all of the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. A special mention goes to Simon on reception, who made us feel genuinely welcome at check-in and set the tone for a great stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend The Alex Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Dublin. We will definitely be back!

Our family stayed at The Alex Hotel. It was amazing. Everything was great but the service was exceptional. The front desk people were very kind and helpful. Since my wife has a mobility issue, it was very special to see how responsive the staff were to accommodate her needs. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. Our twelve family members were so excited to stay at this property.

My mom and I recently stayed at The Alex for nearly a week during our first trip to Dublin, and it was the perfect choice for our splurge hotel. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely fantastic. ​ ​We stayed in a suite, which was incredibly spacious. Having a separate living room and bedroom gave us more than enough space to relax comfortably without feeling cramped, and the views of the city were wonderful. Because the room was so beautiful and comfortable, we actually found ourselves spending a lot of time chilling at the hotel between exploring. ​We also had access to the executive lounge, which was a massive perk. It was fully stocked with red and white wine, prosecco, beer, sodas, chips, and various snacks. Combined with the excellent included breakfast buffet—which featured a great spread of fresh pastries (my mom and I ate plenty of the delicious croissants), meats, cheeses, fruits, and greens—we ended up saving a lot of money on food and drinks during our week-long stay. ​ ​The staff here are truly incredible. Alvero checked us in and gave us a lot of useful information and anytime we can past the desk they gave us a friendly hello. The housekeeping was also on top of it with our room being very clean and organized eveyday. Beyond being generally warm and welcoming, the front desk helped direct us in arranging a seamless laundry pick-up and delivery service right through the hotel, which made a long trip so much easier to manage. ​The Alex provided the perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and top-tier hospitality. Being a highlight of our trip, I would absolutely consider staying here again the next time I find myself back in Dublin!

We recently spent 10 days at The Alex Hotel Dublin in March 2026, and it was truly a fantastic experience for our entire family. From start to finish, everything about the stay exceeded expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful—modern, comfortable, and very well maintained. The food was excellent, the service was consistently top-tier, and the overall atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. A special thank you to the team who made our stay so memorable. Jamie, the Group Manager, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Sandra and the entire food and beverage team were outstanding, as was the housekeeping staff, who kept everything spotless and comfortable throughout our stay. The front desk team was always warm, helpful, and accommodating as we came and went each day. And the hotel coffee bar was a great daily highlight. I especially want to recognize the food and beverage team. My wife and family have multiple food allergies, and this can often make traveling stressful. Not here. The team took our needs very seriously, handled everything with care and professionalism, and went out of their way to ensure we could eat safely. Even more impressive, they provided variety and flexibility throughout our 10-day stay, which is no small task. That level of attention and consistency meant a great deal to us. Overall, this was an exceptional experience, and we’re incredibly grateful to the entire team at The Alex. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin.

We brought our 6 month old here for 3 nights and they were so lovely! The location was great - walkable to much but not too close to the louder areas. The reception couldn’t have been more kind and helpful - specifically Simon and Samary as well as the bar staff. They helped my husband to bring food up to the room every night to not wake the baby with room service and provided free dessert on the last night. They also helped us when the zipper on our diaper bag broke and called a tailor for us. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Dublin.

Amazing staff! This hotel has such great boutique hotel vibes, but with the comfort and amenities of a much larger property. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, which made our stay really comfortable. We stayed in the suite, and the large bathroom and extra living room area made our stay even more relaxing than I would have imagined. We also really enjoyed the breakfast — there was a wide selection of items and everything was actually very savory and satisfying. The breakfast staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The girls working in the morning were extremely sweet, and the lattes were extra rich and delicious. I unfortunately forgot the name of the server who attended us, but she’s from Spain with a Colombian background. It was so nice being able to speak Spanish with her. She was so warm and welcoming and truly made our mornings even more enjoyable. The location is also great! Everything is within walking distance, and you’re close to the main Temple Bar area without the huge crowds — it’s extremely peaceful and quiet. Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful experience!
