Came in not expecting a lot and were very pleasently surprised! The location is amazing, couldnt be better, and the rooms were very clean and tidy. Sure, the house is a bit of a maze, and there are no toiletries, but that's become pretty standard for european hostels. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked good, as did the washing machines. We were also able to store our bags before check-in and generally, the staff were very friendly and forthcoming. It is very pricey for what it offers, but that's Dublin for you! Considering it is one of the cheapest if not the cheapest you'll find, it's a pleasant enough option.

I stayed at The Dawson Hostel in Dublin for 4 nights in June 2026 and had a solid, enjoyable experience in a prime central location. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Dublin City Center on Dawson Street. It’s just a 2-minute walk to The Little Museum of Dublin and very close to Trinity College, Grafton Street, and many restaurants, pubs, and shops. Perfect for exploring the city on foot or by public transport. The dorm rooms with bunk beds were clean and functional. The beds were comfortable enough with good linens, and there was decent storage space. The highlight for me was the very spacious lounge area where guests could relax, work, or socialize. The shared kitchen was well-equipped and useful for cooking meals, and the on-site laundry service was convenient during a longer stay.Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations and check-in was quick. The hostel has a good social vibe without being too noisy. For the price, this is excellent value in such a central spot in Dublin. If you’re looking for a well-located hostel with solid facilities and a great base to explore the city, I recommend The Dawson Hostel.

The beds and toilets are cleaned. Canteen areas are neat and tidy and the TV channels (Mr Bean) are nice watching. The luggage storage room is quite messy. Only the room card access is a little bit inaccessible. Eventually, it was a delightful getaway. Kudos.

Nice central location but too much noise from outside partying people till 2AM, hard to get sleep. Only 1 washroom for 12 beds makes waiting time more. Not a good WiFi connection throughout the hostel.

Location was great, right in the middle of the city. Service staff was helpful, plenty of facilities in the form of kitchen and dinning area. Beds were comfortable enough and the rooms seem reasonably clean.

It has many rooms available. One down side would be there isn’t any lifts in the hostel so you have to carry or leave the suitcase at the lobby.

All of the front desk staff were super friendly and helpful and the location is very good— right in the heart of Dublin and close to all of the entertainment + city center stuffs. The room + bed were clean and made though the bathroom and subsequent layout was a little old and odd.
