We came in by car and prebooked the rooms before we were there. We arrived as how we booked and checked in for 1 night. My family all gotta go to the airport in the morning so the reason that the person who decided to book here was because it is only a few minutes by car to get to the airport. There is instant coffee, milk, tea bags and sugar that you can do it yourself in your own time. At the reception, I saw that you can buy drinks, there is a price list for everything and the restrooms are there. There are also sofas and a table if you need some space before you check in, wait for somebody or after you check out. Usually there are staff at the reception and they offer help for the customers. After we all checked out I did not have a car myself so I could feel quite difficult to go to get the public transport. The stop was not that close. However we walked out the night before to have our supper. We were glad that we tried some nice dish and we shall definitely be back to Ireland to see more and experience different parts of it. In the afternoon we tried the restaurant just right at the door. We had the kids’ menu that he can have ribs, drinks and fries. His dad had a bigger portion of ribs, with beans, carrots, soft bread, fries, and a drink. We shared a mac n cheese and also the dad ordered one. It was a city day and night since we just drove quite some distance and visited a castle before we arrived.

Stayed one night at Travelodge Dublin Airport North Swords before an early flight from Dublin Airport. The location is very convenient, only a short drive from the airport, making it a good choice for an overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and check-in was straightforward.A big plus is the on-site restaurant, Smokin Bones Swords Travelodge, which serves American-style BBQ food. It was great not having to travel elsewhere for dinner after a long day. The food was tasty, portions were generous, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The hotel and restaurant partnership makes the stay much more convenient for travellers. y. Good value for money and ideal for travellers needing an overnight stop.

The room was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep before an early flight the next morning. It's worth noting the hotel is on a busy road, so if you have young kids it might not be the safest place to stay. Staff were helpful during check in/ check out and when we were leaving, they ordered us a taxi that arrived in minutes, which was a huge help in our travel plans.

Response from the property

Dear Lisa, Thank you for your kind review. We’re glad you had a comfortable stay and that our team could help with your travel plans. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again.

We paid around €200 in total for one night's stay, including the €10 early check-in and €10 late check-out. For that price, we expected a much better overall experience. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the hotel appeared to be accommodating a large number of refugees or asylum seekers, which made the atmosphere quite different from what we were expecting. While I understand hotels can have different types of guests, as a paying customer I expected better value and service. The staff couldn't offer any advice on getting into the city centre other than saying, "A taxi is best," which ended up costing us far more than expected. In hindsight, we should have paid a little extra and stayed in a city-centre hotel. Breakfast was also disappointing. Almost everything on the cooked breakfast was deep fried apart from the toast. The coffee was a small, lukewarm mug, which we'd finished before the food even arrived, and we had to ask for water. We also asked for pepper, but there wasn't any available. Overall, the room was fine, but the location, lack of transport advice and poor breakfast meant it wasn't good value for the money, and we wouldn't stay again.

I’d like to say this was an excellent accommodation experience, and I’m especially grateful to Luda. I initially booked the wrong check-in time, and her patient assistance and clear explanations really calmed me down.|Suggestions for the room:|It would be better if the bathroom floor had more drainage outlets or an additional exhaust fan.|There are lots of mosquitoes in summer. A moth flew around the room all night during my stay. If possible, installing window screens would be a great improvement.

Very good travel lodge, rooms are spotless and large carpark. The smoke house is good and breakfast is good too. The staff deserve a special mention as they were very professional right from checkin and easy chat with.

The rooms and hotel services are fairly basic, but it was clean and we wanted for nothing. This hotel is all about value and location to the airport. So if you're looking for somewhere cheap & cheerful to put your head down for a night before you fly out of Dublin airport, it's hard to beat.

Response from the property

Dear Fergal, Thank you for your kind review. We're delighted you found the hotel clean, good value, and conveniently located for Dublin Airport. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back before your next trip.
