We had a great stay at the Excelsior. Is situated just a few minutes away from the entrance to the old town, great location, service, rooms and staff. The oceanfront area is perfect for a swim at the sea and the service is very fast and efficient when you order food and drinks from your beachfront chairs. The views of the walls from all restaurants are spectacular. They even had a cake delivered to our room for my wife’s birthday and it was delicious. The attention to detail is impeccable.

We were very impressed by all the restaurant staff — everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, with a wonderful selection and high-quality food. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. The hotel had a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere with excellent service. The combination of the beautiful hotel, with a gorgeous view of the sea, lovely area to relax by the water, delicious food, wonderful staff, and exceptional service made our stay truly special. The area with the indoor pool, steam, sauna and jaccuzzi was spectacular. Thank you to the entire Hotel Excelsior team for making our stay unforgettable. We just spent 4 days there. It was so awesome. Very close to the castle and many restaurants. The beach deck is stunning. Views of the castle at night are magical. Food is great. Service is great. Gym is adequate. Pool is phenomenal. Windows open to the fresh air.

The hotel is all class. Staff are amazing. The spa/pool is fantastic. Location is just outside of town on the Adriatic- WOW. Absolutely beautiful. You don’t know where to look first- towards the walled city (5mins walk) or out to the islands and sea. Breakfast is included and absolutely delicious. And what a view in the restaurant. Totally worth the visit. Hope to be back!

Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik exceeded every expectation and was, without question, one of the highlights of our entire European vacation. This is a true 5-star hotel in every sense of the word. From the moment we arrived, the level of service, attention to detail, and overall guest experience were exceptional. The views are simply breathtaking. Waking up each morning to the Adriatic Sea and the stunning backdrop of Dubrovnik's Old Town was an experience we will never forget. The location is unbeatable—close enough to easily enjoy the historic city while still feeling like a luxurious retreat. Our room was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. Every interaction with the staff was warm, professional, and genuine. The team consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. The spa was outstanding and provided the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge. Every area of the property, from the restaurants to the common spaces, reflected the quality and elegance expected from a world-class hotel. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Excelsior Hotel. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and in a wonderful location. The restaurant was one of the highlights of our visit—the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. Every meal we had was enjoyable, and the staff in the restaurant truly made us feel welcome. There were, however, a few areas that fell short of expectations for a hotel in this price range. Our room was quite small and felt cramped considering the premium rate. Housekeeping also lacked attention to detail. Dirty coffee cups were removed but never replaced, coffee pods and bottled water were not replenished, and even the drinking glasses were not restocked. On one occasion, we even had to request that our room be cleaned. Another issue was the number of mosquitoes around the property, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the outdoor spaces, especially in the evenings. Some additional mosquito control measures would greatly improve the guest experience. Despite these shortcomings, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, excellent restaurant, and overall ambiance of the hotel. With better housekeeping consistency and more attention to guest room details, this hotel could provide an experience that truly matches its luxury price point.
