We enjoyed our stay at Rixos in Dubrovnik! I am taking off a star because I do not believe this should be considered a 5 star hotel. Check in was very busy but once we got helped they very kindly said we got upgraded to an ocean view room. It was October offseason so they likely had a lot of openings. The room was nice, best part being the balcony, but some aspects were a little outdated. In the bathroom specifically, the hair dryer was ancient connected to the wall. I had the worst shower of my trip because the water would turn from boiling hot to freezing cold without me moving the dial. Overall the rooms were good but for the price and '5 star' hotel accreditation, I would have expected more. It was too cold to swim but the outside pool and patio was amazing. We appreciated the free breakfast! The food was definitely not anything to write home about though. We only stayed here 1 night before heading to old town and we enjoyed getting to see different parts of the city.

My wife and I stayed at the Rixos for a week in early September. The hotel is situated a short Uber ride from Dubrovnik’s Old Town and has all of the amenities that can be expected at a luxury resort. There is a spa, multiple pools, a private beach, several upscale restaurants and two bars that feature nightly musical entertainment. The rooms also have awesome views of the Adriatic. Our suite was spacious and featured a wrap around terrace. We were also assigned a butler, which is a standard feature for suites. Alexa, our butler, greeted us when we checked in and helped us to settle into our rooms. She was very responsive to our needs and was available by text from very early in the morning to late in the evening. Among other things, she made dining and spa reservations for us and provided insightful sightseeing recommendations and tips for navigating through the hotel and the town. Since we had a very full tour schedule, including several boarder crossings, we had to update our dinner plans frequently and relied on Alexa to make the necessary arrangements. She was also our contact person for any requests we had regarding the suite. The Rixos is not a budget property but it was well worth the money and we always felt well looked after, especially by Alexa.

Overall, this is a fab hotel, great location, great facilities, good customer service and its clean in all public areas as well as good room cleaning service daily. There are a couple of items that let a hotel of this quality down compared to its peers: 1: Quality of breakfast juice is almost like orange squash rather than even OJ from concentrate, very poor! 2. There are no ice machines anywhere in hotel and if you ask staff for ice, they begrudgingly give you a small cup of it so makes it feel like its some kind of policy not to give ice or have it available. Most other hotels have ice machines. 3. Finally, there is no water available in reception area, most hotels of this and lesser standard have iced water and flavored iced water (flavored with cucumber/mint or lemon). Its a great hotel but these little things leave it in the shade of other similar hotels.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rixos Premium Dubrovnik. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, the location is fantastic, and the views over the Adriatic Sea are simply breathtaking. Our room was comfortable, beautifully presented and had an amazing view. The food was excellent, the facilities were outstanding, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. What made our stay even more special was the incredible attention to detail from the staff. We were celebrating a birthday during our stay, and the team went above and beyond to make the occasion memorable. They surprised us with a beautiful birthday cake and champagne, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture. We truly appreciated the care and attention they gave us on such a special occasion. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and professional throughout our entire stay, always making us feel welcome and well looked after. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. We enjoyed every moment and would happily return to Rixos Premium Dubrovnik. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 5 th time this year. Everytime we have beautiful stay, but they allaways manage to suprise us with more and more. Upgrade at check in, fruit in room and wlecome drink. Ivana at reception is the reason why we choose this hotel every year. Allways smiling and helping with everything, makeing rezervation for us, Mehmet Ali at breakfast is the best! He brought us everything we asked for and chef ( Porton or smth, forgot the name). Sajra at check in and Marija in restaurant also very nice. Hotel is very comfortable with perfect location and sea view. You feel very relaxed as soon as you enter. Girl on piano plays perfect, so nice to hear playing in the morning and evening. Cleaning ladys very nice. We missed some food at breakfast, it was not various like before but they brought what we asked for. Also, you have whatsapp conection during the stay, so you can write them anything you need ( they also help a lot🙂). Spa is nice but people should learn how to behave in sauna and quite area. Only thing to emprove is pool cleanless and around. All in one, we can not wait to come back! Again!

I would like to give this hotel a very high recommendation. It starts at the top of management and transcends to every level below. The hotel itself is gorgeous, clean, and very well maintained. It is extremely comfortable in every single way. I enjoy going to the gym on my vacations and the gym is very well equipped for your workout needs. I would like to say we had such an amazing experience with Jelena, the Sommelier, who was extremely well-versed in her wine knowledge. Ana, from guest relations was over the top helpful. She made sure we were comfortable. Bahar, who is the restaurant manager at Mykorini was amazing. Helping us pick out our perfect meals. Mirela was the concierge and she was outstanding. Holding our hands through the perfect trip.

Complete and utter lack of humanity and care shown by staff and management following a booking error. My pensioner mother was charged over €2000 for a booking she believed she had cancelled using their web portal. No phone call or email to check on the booking being a no show, just an outright charge for the full amount and complete rudeness and deflecting from that point onwards (including an email suggesting she phone them to cancel next time instead of using the internet). Months of back and forth by email, being sent in circles by their team and denial of every request for compassion (or even a voucher) for the stress and financial harm caused by the charge. For such a successful 'premium' chain, I'm horrified at the disrespect shown to my mother (who was nothing but courteous throughout the entire process) over the past few months. I think management (who were cc'd in on emails and chose to ignore all them) should reassess their priorities or risk causing further harm to your brand. Disgraceful. EDIT: Thanks for your reply Ivana. It showcases exactly the deflection and lack of care we have faced throughout this process. Anyone with a conscience should avoid staying with this greedy hotel chain. Quick Google shows $841 million in revenue last year. I hope your shareholders are very happy with your customer service. 👍

We had a wonderful stay at the Rixos. The hotel is beautifully maintained. The staff are attentive and polite, especially Sofia in the Lobby Bar who served us amazingly well every evening. The pool facilities are classy, and the hotel enjoys stunning views, day and night, and is within walking distance of the old town. We could not fault it at all. 5*
