We stayed at a family suite for three nights, the suite was spacious and clean. There's a washing machine and a little kitchen which basically got everything we required. Location of this hotel is unbeatable. Trian station and major tourist spots are all within walking distance. Loved it! Highly recommended.

Beautiful old hotel directly across from the cathedral on the Royal Mile. You can walk 5 minutes to the castle or about 15 minutes to the palace. 10 minutes to the National Art museum. The location can't be beat and the food is pretty good. The room was a little weirdly laid out but the beds were good and there was plenty of space. Our room also had an oven and a refrigerator in it. The eggs benedict for breakfast is excellent.

Old Town Chambers was one of our favorite stays during our trip through England, Scotland and Ireland.|You simply cannot beat the location. You are right in the heart of Old Town, steps from the Royal Mile and within easy walking distance of so much of what you come to Edinburgh to see. We loved being able to walk out the door and immediately be in the middle of everything.|Our apartment-style room was lovely, comfortable and beautifully appointed, with plenty of space to settle in and feel at home. We had read a few reviews mentioning street noise, and since our room was directly over the street, I wondered if that might be an issue. It wasn't at all. We slept wonderfully and had no problems with noise.|The Scottish breakfast was excellent, and the service throughout our stay was equally wonderful. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and helpful.|We also appreciated the little touches. There was even fresh milk waiting in our refrigerator so we could make a proper cup of tea rather than relying on those little shelf-stable packets. It sounds like such a small thing, but those thoughtful details are what make a hotel feel special.|After busy days exploring Edinburgh, it was wonderful to come back to a comfortable apartment rather than simply a hotel room. Between the beautiful accommodations, excellent breakfast, thoughtful touches, great service and truly unbeatable location, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Edinburgh.|We would happily stay at Old Town Chambers again and recommend it without hesitation.

The Old Town Chambers hotel is in the heart of old town, a short minute walk to the Castle. The facility is in a very old building (or more accurately a group of old buildings), however the interior has been well renovated and is nicely appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For instance I had difficulty logging onto the wifi, but Gary at the front desk had me logged in straight away. If you take the bus or tram from the airport, be aware that there are steep hills and/or stairs between the drop off and the hotel. If you have luggage consider a taxi or Uber.

Amazing stay at a great hotel. We booked a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for 5 people. Two big rooms with 2 baths and an equipped kitchen with washer/dryer. The views from the balcony were the best in the city. The only uncomfortable thing were the stairs you have to walk up from the room door each time. The restaurant for the breakfast was perfect, with various options to choose each time, great coffee. Location can’t be beaten, in the heart of the city near all attractions and restaurants.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Since we toured the Highlands, we ended up using two different rooms during our stay; however, both were perfect and fully met our expectations. To begin with, the location is unbeatable: the hotel is right in the heart of Edinburgh. As soon as you step in, you’re already in one of the city’s most important areas, from where you can easily walk to the castle, the palace, the pantheon, and many other iconic landmarks. Additionally, if you’re arriving from the airport, the bus drops you off very close to the hotel, so there’s no need for additional transportation. That said, it’s worth planning your route carefully, as the steep streets and endless stairs can be quite demanding. The rooms were very spacious, allowing us to rest comfortably after full days of exploring. Personally, I believe a hotel is just as important as the food when traveling: choosing well enhances your entire experience, while a poor choice can affect your energy, time, and mood. So, if you’re looking to treat yourself to something that truly elevates your trip this is an excellent choice. The service and quality exceeded our expectations and left us completely satisfied. First class hotel. Great service. Great location for touring most Edinburgh sites. Surprisingly good attached restaurant. In-suite laundry was an added bonus. I stayed during the hottest week on record and my room AirCon easily kept the temperature comfortable each night. Pricey, but recommended.

My son treated us to a weekend break at The Old Town Chambers Hotel for my birthday. It was an excellent choice. We loved it! The tram was an efficient way to arrive from the airport, an easy walk to the hotel. |We received a warm welcome from Stephano who gave us excellent service throughout our stay. |Our suite was outside the main building opposite the Devils Advocate bar and restaurant, which was useful as we visited a couple of times, the food and drinks were both excellent. |The room was basically a mini apartment, a good sized living area with sofa bed and well equipped kitchen/dining area, a comfy bed and a free standing roll top bath in the bedroom and a huge bathroom with beautiful products so no need to bring your own. |The breakfast was delicious and the service from a new waiter was excellent. |We visited the bar area once but only as we had so much to pack in to our weekend. I didn’t have time to use the gym either but it is handy to know it is there for next time. |We would all definitely love to return here on our next visit to Edinburgh. My only piece of advice for the hotel is to please add a mirror in the bedroom to help with blow drying hair and to avoid the queue when getting ready when others are in the shower. We would recommend the bus tour as a great way to work out where everything is. |Browns Bar served delicious food. |The Alchemist for great cocktails and nibbles.
