I had such a wonderful stay here back in December. The hotel is truly a gem. The beautiful Victorian architecture, the atmosphere, the views, and especially the people made the experience so special. Everyone was incredibly caring, attentive and thoughtful, and it was all the little gestures and details that really made a difference. They genuinely raised my standards for what I look for in a boutique hotel and a personalised experience. It felt like so much more than simply having a room for the night; they really created a memorable experience. I also loved the location. It’s close enough to Princes Street and the excitement of Edinburgh, while still offering a peaceful place to come back to at the end of the day and escape the hustle and bustle. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!

Great old school hotel that provides affordable luxury. All amenities thought off,I really can’t fault it. The only thing I would mention is that there is no air con but for Edinburgh that isn’t really needed 95% of the time. Would definitely return

Beautiful, breathtaking hotel. People? Not so much. Aside from a rare few, we did not feel welcome at all. Staff could be coached on smiling and friendly responsiveness. Room was beautiful - unfortunately I think we’re below the bar or dining area - noise above all night.

We use the Bonham as a starting and return point for our Motorbike Trip around Scotland. I can't speak highly enough about the wonderful staff, the beautiful rooms and common areas, the service and the overall impression it leaves. Our clients are very comfortable and enjoy their stay tremendously. The secure parking behind the Hotel is a major requirement for us and the access to it is perfect. It is in a very quiet neighbourhood and the area feels very safe. The centre of Edinburgh is easy accessible by foot but Taxis are also just minutes away. I cannot recommend this Hotel enough. Thanks for a great Stay. See you next year.

We stayed at the Bonham recently, in March 2026. The hotel is beautiful, the staff were lovely and the service was excellent. We ate in both the restaurant and from the lounge menu, all food was of an excellent standard, as were the cocktails! The style and decor of the hotel is very interesting and of a high quality, it is very clean and well looked after. We had a lovely room with a bay window with a great view of Leith, which was a delight to relax in after a day out and about. We will definitely be coming back, thank you for a lovely stay.

The Junior Suit was perfect for myself, wife, and daughter. Large windows made for an excellent view. Very comfortable chairs/table for the meal we brought in one night. Very quiet neighborhood, and quiet inside the hotel as well. Very well situated close enough for a walk to most destinations. Friendly reception, and able to accommodate our requests. Wish we had more time to try the restaurant or lounge.

A wonderful place to celebrate another wedding anniversary. This time, we decided to change our tradition of celebrating on our fairytale-like Ærø, and The Bonham Hotel in Edinburgh turned out to be the perfect choice. Beautiful, cozy, with excellent service, attentive staff, delicious food, and a convenient location — an ideal place for special occasions and a place you want to return to.

I visited the bar and absolutely loved the cocktails. The bartender talked me through the menu because I couldn't decide what to get and she was very kind to me. Overall, the ambience is cozy and luxurious and I would definitely come back for more. Hats off to the staff!
