I had a very comfortable stay at Golden Tower Hotel. The level of cleanliness was exceptional, and the staff were wonderful — genuinely warm, welcoming and always willing to help. There are, however, two areas that I believe could be improved. The breakfast was quite basic for a five-star hotel, both in terms of quality, variety and presentation, and was below my expectations. The reception and lobby furnishings also feel quite dated and could benefit from refurbishment to better reflect the standard and atmosphere expected from a five-star property. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and truly appreciated the exceptional cleanliness and the wonderful hospitality of the team.

I am completely blown away by the Golden Hotel & Spa. Having stayed in many five-star and luxury hotels around the world, I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful and memorable hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel is absolutely stunning and immaculate. From the lounge and dining areas to the gorgeous bar and beautifully designed rooms, there is a sense of understated luxury throughout. Being a boutique hotel makes it even more special - it has all the polish of a five-star property, but with a warmth and personality that larger hotels often lack. The service too was exceptional. A very special thank you to Daniele, who made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. He was incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful - genuinely wanting to make sure we were well informed/had everything we needed for our stay in a Florence. He is a true rarity in hotels today. The team in the bar and restaurant were equally wonderful - genuinely warm, attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. Thank you for the entertaining chats, Mahmoud! The wine selection was excellent, breakfast was fantastic, and the location was perfect. But it was the little touches that made us appreciate this hotel even more - from the trio of nibbles brought out whenever we sat down for a drink, to the delicious mini bites at the bar (please never stop making those ham and cheese croissants!). Even at breakfast, I was surprised (and impressed) one morning when a small plate of eggs arrived without me asking - the lovely gentleman looking after breakfast had remembered my order from the day before. These small gestures made the service feel genuinely thoughtful and personal. The only minor point was that we found the beds a little too firm, but this certainly didn’t detract from an exceptional stay and we would return in a heartbeat.

Decent service, decent location. However I would suggest the hotel to do some renovation for the bedroom 🥹

Lovely hotel in an ideal position to explore Florence, pretty much 10mins walk from all major sightseeing spots. Staff were great. Room was spacious and well equipped. Only gripe is that aircon was not effective and wouldn’t get to a temperature cool enough that we were comfortable with. Breakfasts were good limited cooked offerings but would make omelettes to order. Note that use of spa is €75 for 1hr which is a little off considering it is meant to be a 5* hotel and the amount it costs per night.

Just got back from our stay at the Golden Tower. Everything was perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Our room and common areas were wonderful. Definitely looks as good in person as it does in pictures. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. Enjoyed every moment of our stay. Definitely a plus that the hotel is centrally located near all the sites. Will definitely be back.

We arrived at the Golden Tower Hotel & Spa early yesterday morning and felt welcome from the moment we walked in. Our bags were whisked away, and we were invited to sit down with a delicious cappuccino and a wonderful conversation with the barista. Both front desk staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. That first hour set the tone for our entire stay. The people at Golden Tower Hotel & Spa our honestly the most incredible and helpful staff you will find anywhere around the globe—truly first class! I’ve traveled for more than 50 years and held Diamond and Ambassador Elite status with other hotel brands. I’m accustomed to being treated well, but without any status here, I’ve been treated as well as, or better than, I have at any hotel I’ve stayed in. Everyone we’ve met, from the front desk and bar to the housekeeping team, has been genuinely warm and eager to help. The hotel itself is a beautifully cared for 15th century property, with impeccable facilities and a location that’s hard to beat. We’ve been able to walk to nearly everything we wanted to see in Florence, then return to a place that’s just as enjoyable for a meal or a relaxing evening. We met other guests at the bar, and every couple we spoke with was just as enthusiastic about the hotel as we are. We check out tomorrow from room 203, and I honestly wish we could stay longer. Florence has been incredible, but the people at the Golden Tower have made this visit especially memorable. We’ll return here every time we come back. If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel in the heart of Florence with superb service, I can’t recommend it highly enough

During our one week stay we were treated kindly by the staff and enjoyed the interaction with other guests during breakfast. The bar and front desk staff are attentive and friendly. Loved spending time in the comfortable lobby having an afternoon treat. We had an issue with hot water in our room which was promptly addressed. They moved us temporarily to another room so our visit was not disrupted. Staff facilitated the move to prevent burden being transferred to us. Hotel gifted us with a small token for the inconvenience. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Beds are firm, which I prefer, so high scores from me. If you like a soft bed, maybe ask for extra cushion , particularly on the sofa beds. Might be a little noisy in rooms in front when Revelers leave the bars down the block in the early mornings. I will be back.

This hotel is amazing! The staff is incredibly helpful, always friendly, and always smiling. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Florence and exactly where you want to be for exploring the city. The beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent as well. If you’re planning a trip to Florence, look no further than the Golden Tower Hotel. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay here again!
