Start at the hotel's own dining spots: the SOMEWHERE RESTAURANT & BAR on the 13th floor serves a creative menu, and the lobby's CAFÉ EMPATHY offers light meals and drinks. Just outside, Hakata Station is packed with options, including Hakatamen Kaido for tonkotsu ramen and places like Motsunabe Rakutenchi and Yakiniku Hayato for local specialties. The station complex also has restaurants serving motsunabe and tempura, so you can easily explore.
You are right next to Hakata Station, so the area is lively and handy, with shops and restaurants around the station complex. Within an easy walk, you can reach Rakusuien in 12 minutes and CANAL CITY HAKATA in 14 minutes, both good for a relaxed stroll. Farther out, Maizuru Park and Fukuoka Castle Ruins are about 3.7 km away, and Ohori Park is 4.3 km, so those are better for a longer outing by transit or taxi. The hotel itself has a cafe, restaurant, and bar if you prefer to stay close. Hakata Station links you to the rest of the city and the airport, making the area feel connected and convenient.
From Fukuoka Airport, take the subway Airport Line for about 5 minutes to Hakata Station, then follow the direct underground connection to the hotel, about a 1-minute walk. A taxi from the airport takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes depending on the terminal. If you arrive by Shinkansen or train, Hakata Station is your stop; the hotel is directly connected to the station's East Exit. The hotel is also linked to the station's Tsukushi Exit, so you can stay indoors regardless of weather. A direct bus also runs from the airport's international terminal to Hakata Station's Chikushi Exit, which is right by the hotel.
For a relaxed evening, start at the hotel's own SOMEWHERE RESTAURANT & BAR or the lobby's CAFÉ EMPATHY. A 14 minute walk takes you to CANAL CITY HAKATA, which has shopping and dining open into the night. Hakata Station, directly connected to the hotel, hosts a variety of restaurants including Hakata specialties like motsunabe and ramen. Rakusuien is a 12 minute walk away for a quiet stroll in the garden. The hotel's bar offers cocktails and a view, making it an easy option before heading out. The nearby Tenjin area is also reachable via the subway from Hakata Station for more evening choices.
Miyako Hotel Hakata makes a great base for exploring Fukuoka. Hakata Station is directly connected, just a 1 minute walk away, so getting around the city is easy. Rakusuien is a 12 minute walk, and Canal City Hakata is 14 minutes on foot, both perfect for a relaxed start. The Fukuoka Red Brick Culture Museum is a 25 minute walk if you feel like stretching your legs. For further sights like Maizuru Park or Fukuoka Castle Ruins, about 3.7 km away, you can hop on a train or tram from the station. You can reach Ohori Park at 4.3 km and Fukuoka City Museum at 6.5 km with a short ride, making the whole city accessible from this convenient hub.
