We went to this hotel with friends for a girls weekend, we would totally come back again :) We had such an amazing time, it was too short! Great personal, the service is absolutely amazing and very welcoming. Our room was lovely, with a nice view, it really felt like home. A special mention for the massages (AMAZING) and the diner as well. Overall an incredible experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Zugspitze. The location couldn’t be better. It’s an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, and just about everything in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The parking was excellent, and if you have an EV or plug-in hybrid, this is a fantastic place to stay thanks to the convenient charging options. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided great service throughout our visit. The views from the hotel were absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of the trip. The only downsides for us were that the rooms don’t have air conditioning, and the bed was much firmer than we prefer. Neither of those things took away from an otherwise great experience, though. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We absolutely loved our time here and would recommend staying here to anyone! I would also book here again. The hotel is beautifully charming from the outside, and is very comfortable on the inside. Parking was convenient and the covered lot was spacious and felt safe. Check in was easy and they even had a live trio band playing in the dining area. Our room was lovely and the mini fridge was stocked with a few drinks, which we greatly appreciated. We enjoyed the drinks on the balcony taking in the stunning views, framed by the overflowing flower boxes in on the balcony ledge. The hotel is walking distance from a nice little shopping and dining area, which is where we went for dinner. Beds and bathroom were clean, spacious, and comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed continental breakfast, which had a nice variety. We purchased a keepsake from their small selection near the front desk as well.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Zugspitze. The service was warm and helpful, and we really enjoyed the cozy Alpine vibe throughout the hotel. The location was excellent with views of the Alps from our room, and it was the first thing we saw every morning and upon stepping outside. We visited at the end of May, when days were warm but nights stayed cool and comfortable. Although there was no air conditioning, a fan was provided and it was still very pleasant overall. Breakfast selection was a bit limited, but everything else made for a great stay.

We stayed for two nights and were very happy with our experience. Even though we spent most of our time exploring Garmisch, we honestly wish we had carved out more time to enjoy the hotel itself—the pool and sauna area looked amazing and we regret not being able to relax there longer. The location is excellent: completely walkable to the main street, shops, and plenty of restaurants, which made getting around incredibly easy. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with an updated, modern bathroom that felt fresh and well-designed. Breakfast was another highlight—great selection, high quality, and a perfect start to the day. Overall, a wonderful stay. We’d happily return, and next time we’ll make sure to enjoy more of the hotel’s amenities.

I’ve stayed several times at this hotel but this time I was very disappointed with the experience. The people were much less friendly than in the past. The staff at the reception were unfriendly and officious (diensteifrig/dienstbeflissen). We arrived at the hotel at 2.30pm to check in but had to wait 30 minutes to get into the rooms even though the rooms were certainly ready at 2.30pm because we gained access to the rooms at 3pm precisely. What’s more, as we waited, we weren’t offered even a glass of water. The staff all seemed either officious, disinterested or sullen. |The rooms themselves were ok but nothing special.|We asked one day for a packed lunch as we were leaving the hotel very early to go hiking. The packed lunch was an absolute disgrace…two hard bread rolls with a single slice of hard cheese and a slice of ham together with an apple and a biscuit bar and a small half bottle of apple drink (water was not available…apparently!). |So, we, as guests, refused to eat in the restaurant or engage with the structure / spend money.|The proper breakfast buffet was, however, good…if understaffed. |So, overall a very poor experience. This hotel is a 4 Star price but a distinctly 2 Star experience. |There are better hotels in the area at half the price of the Zugspitze Hotel. |Such a shame …

We loved this hotel and also the restaurant. It’s such a beautiful cozy place and the staff are so kind. You feel the family hotel vibes. The food and the breakfast is fantastic and we really enjoyed the spa. Thanks a lot, we’ll surely come back again.
