Stayed here for two nights and, overall, it was a really good experience. The location is unbeatable - just a few steps from the station and super convenient for exploring the whole city center on foot. The hotel is modern, quiet as well. My wife and I especially appreciated the free water refill station in the lobby; it's a small detail that makes a big difference. The room decor is exactly like the photos: modern and up to date. The bathroom was definitely the highlight-spotless, and felt brand new. Bed was comfy and had 2 pillows. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed there for two nights. Unbeatable location. Nice staff. Gorgeous bathroom. The hotel was so quiet I often wondered whether I was the only person staying there; I had a perfect night's rest! The room was quite small (even for one person!) but it still had more facilities/amenities than the average coorporate hotel chain.

Response from the property

Dear Guest, Thank you for providing us with your feedback; it is always gratefully received. We are thrilled to hear your stay at Hotel Chamade left such a positive impression. Our team takes pride in providing attentive service and ensuring our guests enjoy thoughtful amenities. Your praise for the peaceful atmosphere and well-equipped bathroom is especially encouraging, as we aim to create a restful environment for all visitors. That said, we regret any inconvenience caused by the room’s compact layout. While our rooms vary in size, we prioritize functionality and comfort in their design. Finally, we’re delighted our central location near public transport and Ghent’s highlights added convenience to your visit. It’s wonderful to know this contributed to your seamless experience. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you again. Best regards, Chamade hotel Mail: info@chamade.be - Tel: +32 (0) 9 220 15 15

Clean, freshly remodeled room and public areas. Our room was large and comfortable. Two large window with nice street view. Very good breakfast buffet to start our day. Several tram lines close by . . or a pleasant 20-30 minute walk to the historic district. Gent-Sint-Pieters train station just a few blocks away.

Response from the property

It’s great that you appreciated the fresh renovations and spacious, comfortable room with its scenic street views. We’re also delighted you enjoyed our breakfast buffet, crafted with local ingredients to start your day right. The convenient tram access and short walk to the historic district, along with our proximity to Gent-Sint-Pieters station, make exploring the city a breeze. We look forward to welcoming you back on future occasions. Best wishes, Chamade hotel Mail: info@chamade.be - Tel: +32 (0) 9 220 15 15

We selected the Hotel Chamade for its closeness to the station. It is certainly not far to walk but the footpaths are very uneven so you do need to be careful with suitcases. |We spoilt ourselves by booking the room with a terrace and it was so lovely, plenty of room and the best bathroom- two sinks. |We did use the terrace each evening to just enjoy sitting! Had a bar fridge - plus the cooling system was great and definitely needed!|The staff are all very friendly and helpful - housekeeping did a great job everyday. |We didn’t have breakfast because we like to go out and explore. There’s an Australian coffee place on platform 9 at the station good coffee and pastries. |Ghent is beautiful we really enjoyed our time there, lots of food places etc around the hotel. |Highly recommend staying at the hotel Chamade.

The hotel is close to train station, but need to walk for around 20 mins to city centre, we think it’s totally fine especially when the weather is good, and the staff recommended us to walk along the river side which is a good idea. The room is very clean, tidy and modern. There is free water, tea and coffee in a pantry near the reception but the reception and pantry will be closed at 11pm everyday. Last but not least, I would like to thanks the staff (a middle age lady) who recommended us a very decent restaurant nearby to conclude our last night in Belgium when we asked for her recommendation. We will definitely choose this hotel again if we visit Ghent again in the future.

Very clean, feels almost brand new. Doesn't have the comfort level of e.g., a Hyatt, (although it's nearly as expensive), but comfortable enough, with decent sized rooms. Near a tram line, or a 15 minute walk to the city center, mostly along a canal. Good breakfast.

Response from the property

Dear David, Thank you for positively reviewing your visit. We’re thrilled you enjoyed your time at Hotel Chamade. We’re glad our clean, modern rooms provided a welcoming space for your stay. Your mention of the room size and comfort is particularly encouraging for our team. That said, we regret any aspects that fell short of your expectations. We continuously strive to balance quality and value, and your insights are appreciated. Nonetheless, it’s great you found our location convenient for exploring Ghent and savored the breakfast. We source local ingredients daily to create a fresh start for our guests’ mornings. We hope to welcome you back. Best wishes, Chamade hotel Mail: info@chamade.be - Tel: +32 (0) 9 220 15 15

Great location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. Visited late April. Was on the 4th floor, it was very quiet although there may not have been a lot of guests, but didn't get street noise. The AC worked great. Beds were clean and comfortable. Staff were nice - it can be hard to find places to stay that still have a staffed front desk but the staff are there until around 22:00 or 23:00, which is nice for international travelers. Just over five minute walk from the central station. 25 minutes or so to the edge of old downtown. We visited Ghent and did day trips to other towns using the train, so the location was very advantageous to do both.

Very friendly welcome on arrival, also very prompt to answer emails before arriving. The room was exceptionally clean. The room was light and bright so I could actually see to put my make up on! And could see how clean the room and bathroom were. The breakfast was delicious, very fresh, the staff working in the breakfast room were lovely and kept the breakfast room spotless, they were constantly cleaning up and replenishing food. The coffee was also very good and free all day in the lobby, water too. I liked that there were lots of vegan options, including alpro yogurt and milk, I didn’t have to ask for them which is rare for most hotels I have stayed in. The location was good easy reach of train station and tram, 20 min walk in to centre/attractions so didn’t actually need to take the tram. Deserves much higher star rating.
