Lovely hotel. The staff are exceptional and incredibly helpful. The breakfasts are fantastic and service very good. The location is perfect for ease to get around the old town of Ghent. The hotel pool is a great addition and there are places to sunbathe and relax. The hotel lobby, bar and breakfast are very pleasant. We stayed in a family room. Good layout, very comfortable beds. Possibly a little worn in areas especially considering the cost of the hotel. We had a very comfortable stay.

*3.5 stars Hotel Harmony is located on a lovely cobblestone street surrounded by centuries-old architecture and many internationally-inspired restaurants. Not only beautiful, Hotel Harmony’s location is central and nearby Gravensteen Castle, the canals, Graffiti Street, and St. Michael’s bridge. Upon entering the hotel and checking in, I enjoyed seeing a staff restaurant recommendations list and infused water in the lobby bar area. The room was unique with a loft format and exposed wood ceiling. If you love cats, there is a cute stray who prowls around the pool area and back rooms. I would say the main drawback to the hotel is the lack of accessibility. The elevators weren’t working throughout my stay and there were a fair amount of stairs (two sets of stairs: one to enter the lobby and one to get to the back rooms. If you’re staying in the back building, there is another set of stairs and a third elevator which was also broken) making it difficult to navigate when arriving and departing with all the luggage. While the staff helped carry our carry-on bags to and from the rooms, I believe that this shouldn’t be necessary or their responsibility had the building been fully functional. In the room, the bathtub/shower combination was also difficult to navigate as it was very slippery. The original bathroom appeared to only have a bathtub and a shower head was attached later signifying that the tub was not originally equipped for standing. It is absolutely necessary to have adhesives for a proper bathtub to shower conversion and to prevent slips and falls. For me, safety and ease while travelling is essential reflecting my three and a half star rating.

Absolutely loved everything about Hotel Harmony. Beautiful building, really friendly staff, fab location, gorgeous views and our room exceeded our expectations. The street it’s on was perfect for us; a little bit off the beaten path and great cafes, bars, restaurants, a fab record shop and more. ❤️

We spent a long weekend with friends at this amazing hotel. The location, the cleanliness, facilities and most of all the staff were so welcoming, attentive and friendly. The front reception were very helpful and tended to our needs. Marion and the whole team were fantastic. We were 3 couples celebrating our anniversaries and the hotel had flowers and decor laid out in our rooms with a hand written card which was a nice gesture. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel if visiting Ghent. Thanks for making our weekend away memorable and special. The Patel’s.

This was a lovely hotel in the center of Ghent. I recommend taking a taxi to and from the train station if you have luggage. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was very nice with some extra touches. The curtains were not quite dark enough for how light it stays in the summer. We struggled getting the room cold enough and the bathroom was an odd setup. There was no door to the shower, but only a curtain. The lights were smart lights which was also difficult to control. Overall if you were staying in Ghent it was a nice place for a couple nights. We faced the pool area and it was very quiet in our room.

Delightful hotel in a very central location. Modern features in a renovated building but still retaining some original features. Some nice personal touches. Friendly accommodating staff. A real gem of a find.

Great location in tourist heart of the city. The hotel seems to be based on an old building but has been highly modernised and fitted out out to a high standard. We loved the warm swimming pool nearly as much as the granchildren! Breakfasts were good but a little pricey for the modest diets of us over 70s. Couple of gripes: watch out for the bottom stone step as you come down the old wooden stairs from floor one - it's easy to miss and stumble. Also, although the rooms are large and fitted out to a very high standard; quirks like the set back taps over the basin being tricky to reach, set the overall score down a little.

The location is fantastic – very central yet very peaceful, with stunning view. The rooms are all gems, from the standard room, which is already very luxurious, to the executive rooms. The breakfast was delicious and well-presented, and the lunches included in our conference package were also very tasty. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly, there’s a warm atmosphere in the entire hotel. We definitely come back!
