I recently stayed one night at Baiyun Hotel in Guangzhou during a week of travel between two different cities in China. Overall, my experience was average, and I find it difficult to rate this property as a five-star hotel for several reasons. Service & Staff One of the main issues was the level of service. The staff did not appear friendly or eager to assist. The reception area was consistently busy and somewhat disorganized. On more than one occasion, while I was speaking with a receptionist, other guests interrupted the conversation without any intervention from the staff. This lack of attention to guest interaction left a negative impression. Room Quality The room itself was average—functional but nothing remarkable. It seemed acceptable for the price, but it did not reflect the luxury or comfort typically associated with a five-star rating. There were no standout features that would justify a premium classification. Positive Aspects The strongest point of this hotel is its location. Baiyun Hotel is situated in a very popular area of Guangzhou, making it convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring the city. For travelers who prioritize location over service or luxury, this could still be a practical choice. Overall Impression In summary, while the hotel offers a prime location, the overall experience was underwhelming due to the lack of attentive service and the average quality of the rooms. If you are looking for convenience and reasonable pricing, it may work for a short stay, but those expecting true five-star standards might be disappointed.

I had a truly fantastic experience here! The rooms were impeccable, service was top-notch, and the location is absolutely ideal. Plus, finding delicious Indian food nearby was a delightful bonus. 🤩💯✨

I wanted to check in before 12:00 noon, but the hotel did not provide my room. I returned at 4:00 p.m., and they still seemed reluctant to give me a room. I was very frustrated. Eventually, they gave me a room at 4:00 p.m., but it was a smoking room even though I had specifically booked a non-smoking room. This was not acceptable, especially for a hotel of this standard. The delayed check-in and the failure to provide the room type I reserved made for a very disappointing experience.

Pathetic room condition and poor room service. Allotted a room which has noise from near by room. Has smell. Ac does not work

Excellent.... Very Comfortable Stay........ Rooms are spacious....... Very good views..... Staff is very fluent in english speaking....... Simply fantastic....... Inhouse Indian & Italian & Western Restaurant....... Definitely visiting again......

all went well.. superb place to stay...and Sharmaji Indian restaurant is a cherry on the top in the same hotel.
