Τhe hotel is in an amazing location. It is right next to the KAMPPI shopping center, which serves as the bus station, and very close to the central train station. The hotel staff was incredibly polite, helpful, and eager to assist. We had an unexpected issue with our Booking.com reservation, as it got canceled just one day before our trip. Despite that, we contacted the hotel directly and they kept the room for us, and at the exact same price! They even helped us book our tickets to Tallinn, and they were more than happy to assist with anything else we needed. I must mention that both with the cancellation issue and the help with the Tallinn tickets, the girl who helped us was Natta, and we thank her so much! Natta, you are wonderful and so kind! The only negative thing we can say is that the rooms could have been a bit cleaner, and they could have used a more thorough, deep cleaning during our stay. Overall, it was a very good experience at the hotel!

The hotel was really good from A to Z. Checking in and out was simple and quick. Lobby size was not very big but I really like the chairs there. The open area was so lovely in front of the hotel. The room was good generally but the size not meeting the American standards, but compared to European standards the size is good. The breakfast is better than other hotels I tried in Helsinki. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel.

I stayed here as a solo traveller and had a very good experience. The rooms are spacious, modern and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, although a bit on the soft side. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, with shops and a metro station nearby. It’s not the most central hotel in Helsinki, but getting around is easy. The only downside was the bathroom. Showering in the bathtub feels a bit outdated and getting in and out isn’t very practical. Overall, a comfortable hotel with good service. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice rooms but too much hassle during the stay. Rooms should have work desks according to the website. Mine didn't have one. Had to switch rooms 2 times before they said they don't have any standard rooms with desks and they upgraded me to a business room. It took an hour until I was finally checked in. The room they gave me had a bad drain smell and they knew about it because the maintenence guy came without me complaining. The window was also stuck partly open so the construction noise bothered me until I realized and asked them to fix. On departure day, they charged my credit card with the full stay amount even though the reservation was prepaid (charge luckily didn't go through as my card limit was reached).On the upside, the hotel and rooms are nice in general and the staff was always friendly. I would still recommend this hotel as the chances of all of this reoccurring are quite low, though I can't give a positive review after my stay. The breakfast was solid, though the eggs were quite poor. The warm dishes in general were quite greasy too.

My family had a wonderful time during our two-night stay before boarding the cruise ship. The hotel, which had been recently renovated, was spotless. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, complete with blackout curtains that ensured a restful night’s sleep. A bonus feature was the sauna, where my son experienced his first Finnish sauna! The breakfast was also fantastic! If you’re considering adding breakfast, do yourself a favour and include it. You won’t regret it!

I wanted to share some feedback regarding our recent stay. The check-in experience was excellent. We arrived early, and the staff kindly held our bags until our room was ready. Throughout our stay, the customer service was exceptional, and the breakfast was outstanding. Unfortunately, we did experience a couple of issues with our accommodations. Our original room was extremely warm, and despite our efforts, we could not get comfortable. The staff promptly moved us to another room, which we greatly appreciated. However, the floors in the new room were very dirty and appeared as though they had not been mopped in quite some time. While we truly appreciated the friendly and accommodating staff, as well as the excellent breakfast, the cleanliness and condition of the rooms did not meet the standard we were expecting. I wanted to bring this to your attention in hopes that it can be addressed for future guests.

It has been 10 years since I last visited Radisson Blu Royal Hotel and their recently completed renovations really gives it a brighter and modern welcome. The super warm and friendly lady at the front desk on arrival was the beginning to my excellent stay at this hotel. I often opt to upgrade my original booking on arrival and there was certainly no regret in doing so, opting for the lovely Executive Suite (a shame there were major roadworks outside the hotel but this is beyond the hotel’s control). Breakfast was lovely, great buffet selection along with a cooked-to-order omelette. The bar and restaurant (NORD) were equally delightful with good drinks selection and lovely food. Also worth noting that the breakfast, bar and restaurant staff were fantastic. Housekeeping was faultless and made the overall stay really nice. Although I usually stay at the Plaza Hotel (mainly for convenience as it is next to the main station), the Royal Hotel is now, without doubt, my go to choice for Helsinki. The only minor markdowns are the on-site gym (still not ready), bar and restaurant not open on Sunday and towels that leave white fluffy bits on you. The room also needs some minor maintenance from previous guests that have not looked after it but the overall experience has been superb, in particular, the amazing staff that oversees the hotel.

Still as good as it was before the pandemic. Just at the back of the kamppi shopping centre. Bit of a labyrinth to get here because of the building work nearby. Fantastic beds, good variety for breakfast. Plus the very friendly and attentive staff.one more plus is that the hotel is not too big.
