We went to the Majestic Hotel M bar/restaurant on the eighth floor of the hotel. The view is great. The service is good except after they delivered the food they never come back to check. The food prices were reasonable for hotel rooftop bar prices (spring rolls, shrimp salad) except for the 6 slices of garlic bread for 200K ($8) and the BBQ pork ribs which was 500K and came with only 3 ribs! A ridiculously high price - that’s about $7 a rib, a high price even in California where I’m from. I’d come back here for drinks and appetizers but a full dinner here is too expensive.

Historic hotel. Rooms were spacious & clean. Only wished they could lock the divan bed wheels from sliding so easily on the timber flooring 😞 Staff were friendly & helpful. Convenient location in downtown but had to put up with the heavy traffic

Overall our experience was okay. Comfy bed, spacious room and nice staff. For a five star hotel they did have a bath shower which we thought was kind of gross. We weren’t super impressed with the buffet breakfast however room service food was nice. We were there for a few nights with our 2yr old and told them we need 3 of everything not 2 yet everyday they kept only bringing 2 (towels waters) so we were constantly asking for more everyday, I thought this should’ve been noted down. We booked everything through our travel agent and have been travelling around Vietnam for our honeymoon and this was our fourth hotel stay, to our surprise (our agent) every hotel did such nice things for us like decorating the room, leaving bottles of wine, small cake etc.. while we don’t expect anything huge when we first walked into the room we got told that for us there is a complimentary fruit bowl, two tiny bottles of wine and some snacks, so we thought that was them doing something extra which we were happy about BUT on checkout today they tried to charge us for the wine and snacks… then told me “sorry that you were confused” like no I wasn’t confused we were told to our face and pointed to what was “complimentary”. Lucky we had just packed the wine in our bag as a keep sake so we gave it back but overall a little bit disappointed that nothing at all was done.

I had a meal at Catinat Lounge and it was truly a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always checking on me while I was enjoying my meal and drinks. I’m currently learning Vietnamese, and Mr. Anh noticed that and kindly came over to help me practice. We had such a fun and enjoyable conversation together. Thank you, Mr. Anh, for making my experience so special and memorable. Your kindness and hospitality created an amazing experience for me.

Overall, the hotel worth it. The location is great, which is riverfront, in the city center of HCM City, so that you can walk to other attractiosn within walking distance. The room is spacious, neat and tidy, but quite old. The same as the atmostphere and space here. But it is acceptable for a historic and old hotel like this. The breakfast is great with diverse choice of food and great view to the river. Overall, i recommend this if you want to stay in the city center at a reasonable price. But you should not expect it to be exceptional as other 5* hotel.

I stayed here in Ho Chi minh for 4 nights and the hotel was excellent all round. The staff were very helpful from the minute we arrived. Another guest recommended the spa so we gave it a try. I had the reflexology for 60 minutes and it was an excellent experience. My friend had deep tissue massage and said it was the best they have had too. So a must try if you stay here. Food in the hotel has also been great. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The hotel lobby is spectacular. Bellhops/door attendants, receptionists, restaurant staff, and housekeeping staff are well-dressed, professional, and respectful. We loved our stay at Hotel Majestic Saigon, with an awesome partial view of the river and the street below. However, our room's AC hummed loudly even on the lowest setting. My wife was up until 3 AM. They sent a technician up, but when we returned to our room late in the afternoon, it was still very loud. The manager moved us to a different room; however, later that night, a water pump or similar machinery made loud noises all night. Needless to say, another sleepless night. Another disappointment was that the hotel did not respond to my two emails notifying them that we were excited to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary at the hotel. At check-in, no one mentioned our special occasion. I gently mentioned it to Ms. Khanh; she smiled and escorted us to our room.

The hotel is very well positioned on the river in District 1. It is a step back in time with its history and glamorous opulence. Breakfast was delicious, so try the beef pho, bahn mi as they are freshly assembled to order and easily missed as the chef is outside the restaurant area, and it was an accidental finding. The only opportunity for better service at this hotel would include this as something to mention to new dining guests as they appear on level five for their breakfast. The doormen are friendly and so happy to assist, thanks especially to Ahn!
