A truly magical stay — we’ll be back! La Petite Folie exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the accommodation blew us away — it’s an absolutely gorgeous property that perfectly captures the charm and beauty of Honfleur. But what really made our stay so special was Valérie. Her warmth and kindness were extraordinary — she made us feel genuinely welcome from the very first moment, and that personal touch elevated the whole experience. It’s rare to encounter hospitality this heartfelt. Honfleur itself is a dream of a destination, and having La Petite Folie as our base made the trip truly unforgettable. We’re already talking about when we can return — and we absolutely will. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Normandy. Don’t hesitate, just book it!

Beautifully restored interior apartments in historic building in the heart of Honfleur. The village is busy, but beautiful in summer. La Petite proves ideal comfort, room, kitchenette with coffee and tea makers, coffee and tea bags, minibar wine, champagne, soft drinks, cooktop, refrigerator with refillable cold water, toaster, sink and dishes. If getting a room on floor 1 or 2, you’ll need to be comfortable carrying bags up stairs. There is no elevator. Ground floor is another option. Tres Bien!

A wonderful location. Two couples, our rooms were on the second floor. Beautiful rooms with excellent service. Our host Valerie was wonderful. Free parking is plentiful only 200metres away. One morning we decided to have breakfast in the summer house, which was excellent. If visiting Honfleur again I would definitely stay here again.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at La Petite Folie. The house and small garden are stunning and well kept. Each apartment (we were a large group and took 6 of the 8 apartments) was spotless and well appointed. Each was charming and full of character but with all the equipment needed. We were given a very warm welcome from Valerie who was very accommodating and friendly. We took breakfast which was good quality and sufficient to start the day well. As we were a group with had breakfast in the dining room which worked well. The location of the house is perfect, just a couple of steps from the centre of Honfleur. Parking is limited outside and paid from 8am but there is a large carpark a short walk away which we used with no problems. It was wonderful to have the living room to meet in at the end of the day for a drink and a chat. Communications before our stay were excellent and gaining access to the property when we arrived late at night was straight forward. I cannot recommend this property enough and cannot wait to come back again. I really would not stay anywhere else in Honfleur now!

Fantastic small hotel. Highly recommended. The only negative point is that one of the rooms we had did not have any A/C so it got very hot when it was 40 degrees outside.

Prestige rooms are really prestige. We have tried the one called "Charles Baudelaire" in the 1st floor and it is highly recommended. Kitchen included (where you can really cook), spacious living room and spacious bedroom. Facing the garden and totally quiet. Only curtains, so there is a bit of light in the morning. Not a deal breaker, even for my wife which is sensible to this topic.

A gem! We could not have asked for a more charming, romantic place. This gorgeous mid-19th century maison privée has been turned into a lovely small hotel with views of Honfleur’s historic streets on one side and the hotel’s lovely garden and a park along the Seine on the other. Our room could not have been nicer. Plus, it was large—never a given in France. A wonderful French breakfast was delivered to our door every morning in a wicker basket. The owner and the staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel was centrally located, a few doors down from the Erik Satie house. One caveat: no elevator, which was not a problem for us but would be for anyone with mobility issues. Bravo and thank you to everyone who made our stay so pleasant. We will be back—we were sorry to only have two nights there.
