A great stay in the farm house. We stayed there for two nights. It was only 5km away from husavik where we joined the whale watching tour. We had our breakfast at 8am and managed to arrive the whale watching centre at 9:05am. The view from the farm house was really nice (the sea and the snow mountains). Staff was nice. We could use the kitchen for lunch and dinner. They’ve got utensils and pots and bowls. And microwave and oven. Basically everything you need. The dog was cute. We also joined an icelandic horse riding session there. It was amazing. The girl was friendly,experienced and helpful. Breakfast was simple and the croissant was delicious. Room was much better then we expected. More and less like a hotel room. We enjoyed staying there very much.

We loved staying at Saltvík! The farm was so quiet and cozy, and we had a beautiful panoramic view of the horses, landscape and ocean out the window of our room. Staff were very nice and helpful. Comfortable beds, and this was by far the largest shower we’ve had so far in Iceland!

I stayed here with my family, and we did the four-day "Saltvik Comfort" horse tour. Everything about our experience was excellent! The rooms were clean and cozy, and the surrounding farm is serene and picturesque. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome; our flights were delayed multiple times on our way to the farm, but they were very responsive, made sure that the shuttle from the Akureyri airport was there when we landed, and even offered to take us for a late evening ride when we finally arrived at 9PM local time! Every horseback ride was spectacular. We were not very experienced riders, but our guides made us feel comfortable and helped us pick horses suited to our skill level and riding style. They were attentive to all our feedback - in fact I think they wish we gave more, we were mostly quiet as we took in the incredible landscapes! There were several far more experienced riders also doing the tour, so most days some of the guides would take them on much longer rides and the rest would wrangle us newbies. All meals were provided as part of the tour, and they were delicious. Special thanks to our guides Claire, Magda, and Chantel, who were knowledgeable, helpful, hilarious, kind, and all around lovely people! You made our experience amazing! The next time we visit Iceland we are absolutely coming back.

The perfect location if you want to go to Husavik but stay in the nature with no light pollution. The staff is very nice and helpful. In the morning we went with them to feed the horses and had a lot of fun. The panorama view from our room was outstanding.

Nice B&B on a remote beautiful location. Friendly staff, nice rooms. Family feeling. Free wifi. Kitchen can be used for self cooking. Good breakfast. Recommended.
