We spent a wonderful week at Amfora Beach Resort, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were beautiful, modern, spotless, and very comfortable. Waking up every morning to the breathtaking view over the bay and the pool was an experience in itself. What really made our stay special was the staff. Every single person we met was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They all spoke excellent English and German, making communication effortless. The location is perfect. The hotel sits directly on a beautiful bay where you can walk straight into the crystal-clear sea, while also offering a fantastic, family-friendly pool with a cocktail bar, a waterslide, and a waterfall. Whether you’re travelling as a couple or with children, it’s an ideal place to relax. We also rented a private boat for a day, and it conveniently picked us up right in front of the hotel. It was one of the highlights of our holiday. Another big advantage is that Hvar Town is less than a 10-minute walk away. The old town is incredibly charming, with its narrow alleys, stone stairways, and romantic atmosphere. We enjoyed amazing lunches and dinners every single day and were never disappointed. We also highly recommend walking up to the fortress, where you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views over the town and the bay. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, with plenty of choice and high-quality food. The only thing we wouldn’t recommend is the dinner buffet. Compared to the rest of the hotel’s excellent standards and the outstanding restaurants in Hvar, it felt rather average. Overall, we had an unforgettable stay. Whether you’re visiting as a couple or as a family, we can wholeheartedly recommend Amfora Beach Resort. We would happily return. Thank you to everyone at Amfora Beach Resort for making our family holiday so memorable. We hope to be back one day.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Amfora hotel in one of the newly refurbished superior rooms with a balcony overlooking the pool. The room was well decorated if a little compact and with limited wardrobe space, only enough to hang shirts! The bathroom had a large rainfall shower. |The hotel is quite spread out and over different levels, so it’s a bit of a walk and lots of steps to get everywhere. |The hotel WiFi is good and works everywhere. |The pool area is very nice with a couple of pool bars and waiters on hand all day. Towels are available from the pool cabana from 9am, so there is no rush to secure beds, and there are plenty on offer. The pool can get quite lively at times. |The beech in front of the hotel is a public one and you have to pay €20 for a bed. |Breakfast is buffet style and quite noisy like a canteen but the views are spectacular. |The hotel offer a service where they collect and deliver your luggage to the pier side in Hvar when arriving by ferry, so you don’t have to worry about it. |The port town is a 15 minute walk along the promenade from the hotel and felt very safe, even walking back at night. |Overall the hotel was very nice, lacked a bit of charm and with all the levels 4 nights was enough for us.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location right on the beach is perfect, with beautiful views and easy access to the sea. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. A special thanks to the staff (special: Mateo and Nacisa in the Restaurant), who were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They made our stay even more enjoyable with their excellent service. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely love to come back!

The hotel has several positive aspects, although our overall experience felt more like a large, busy resort than a true 5-star hotel. The location is very good, right next to the waterfront promenade and about a 10–15 minute walk from the center of Hvar. The rooms have been renovated and feel modern and comfortable. Ours was small, but perfectly adequate, with a comfortable bed and great pillows. The pool area is nice, although this is where the hotel feels the most crowded: lots of guests, families and children. The pool towels definitely need replacing, as many were stained. You only receive one per person, and it must be returned each day. Breakfast offers a huge variety, but the quality could be improved for a hotel in this category. We had lunch by the pool once — pizza and tuna — and it was good, although nothing particularly memorable. Cocktails are around €15–22, which is quite expensive. it is a comfortable, renovated and well-located hotel with a nice pool, but it does not really offer the sense of luxury or exclusivity you would expect from a 5-star property. I would describe it more as a large, family-oriented holiday resort.

We had a wonderful stay at Amfora Hotel and were very impressed with the whole experience. The check-in and check-out process was extremely easy, clear and well organized, and the staff were absolutely fantastic – very professional, friendly and always helpful. A huge advantage is the hotel’s private pier. You can arrive directly by boat, which makes the whole experience very convenient. The staff take care of everything – including handling the luggage and loading it onto the water taxi – so the entire arrival and departure process is completely effortless. The pool area is definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. The pool itself is beautiful, the children loved the water slide, and the entire outdoor area is perfect for relaxing. There is also a great selection of drinks available by the pool. Breakfast was delicious, with a very wide choice of food, and we were also pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the buffet dinners. Overall, everything was at a very high standard and we truly enjoyed our stay. A great hotel for both adults and families with children. We would definitely be happy to come back!

Positives: Staff are all polite and friendly and helpful. They make this hotel feel special. Location: is excellent and a lovely walk in and out of Hvar. Luggage Service: They collect your luggage nearby the ferry (looks for signs) easy and stress free. Negatives: The pool area we found too noisy and busy. Sun-beds were so uncomfortable that we chose not to use the pool and would head off to the beach or rocks. We booked the hotel mostly for the pool and never used it. Breakfast: was a great buffet selection but the experience is noisy and busy. They don’t have a coffee machine making expresso style coffee. This frustrated me that they serve brown water coffee and I want to drink expresso. I had to buy it from the bar. Bedrooms: are too small and not practical for two people with large suitcases. We lived out of our suitcases but it’s impractical and made the bedroom uncomfortable. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I had small children and the pool area is a must have. So think about the negatives and if they won’t impact you like they did us; then you will enjoy this hotel.

This was a beautiful hotel. It was not the original one we were booked into, but we were moved to the Adriana n we couldnt be happier. The staff were so friendly n welcomed us like family. The room was a fair size as was the bathroom n the bed so comfortable, we even had a little balcony. The location of the hotel is perfect n with amazing views. The buffet breakfast was amazing with many choices n you could also order a few special things. The rooftop bar n pool were well equiped n had the best view. We ate at the restaurant twice during our 3 nights stay n both nights the food was delicious n the staff could not do enough for you. Highly reccomend this hotel for any length of stay.

What made this hotel memorable was the warm and exceptionally friendly staff. We traveled with our sons, aged four and eleven, the latter using a wheelchair. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating of our special needs. The hotel has a handicap ramp in connecting area with stairs, be aware that you have to contact the reception for using it, due to hotels negative experiences to let it be open for use. It was a hassle but the technicians always came fast and lock up the ramp for us to use. The rooms were spacious — we booked family rooms. Be aware that these rooms come without a view, but they’re fresh and modern, as the whole wing is a newly added part of this giant hotel complex. The pool area is a dream come true for kids. Breakfast was wonderful. So why not five stars? We had a dreadful dining experience at the hotel restaurant. Our food never arrived, despite our waiter calling for it several times. When it finally came, it looked like a tornado had hit it — a total disaster, nothing like what we’d had the day before. Our waiter felt bad charging us for the meal, so we got it for free as compensation. This gesture was appreciated, but it did put a damper on what should have been a pleasant evening.
