It doesn't have air conditioning in the room, but we left the fans on and door open and it was just fine. Great location ! My husband arent the types to stay in the hotel too long, so location is everything for us. We even loved that we have a balcony with a luxurious view to sit a drink before bedtime. :). Not bad at all for two star hotel!

Definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. On arrival on Sunday, we got to our room and it was so filthy, (food and stains all over the carpets, used towels and sheets from the previous owners) so we decided to go to reception to complain and they gave us an upgrade. The upgrade to a sea view room was hardly any better. I realise this was only a 2 star hotel but this is the grottiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Our upgraded room had no air con, dirty carpets and dirty mouldy bathroom tiles. The toilet was also leaking because it wasn't fixed in at the back which was filthy so the room smelt bad all week. We got electric shocks from the plug sockets which weren't screwed into the wall properly and there were only two plug sockets in the room! One of which had the rusty fan in use and the other with the mini bar fridge. everyday when we asked for the room to be cleaned, the cleaners forgot to put clean towels in and the next day they forgot bed sheets. We went to reception to complain about this and the lady at reception looked at us like idiots and told us to share a bed sheet because the cleaners had gone home. Appalling customer service and an appalling hotel. It's a real shame because Hvar is such a beautiful place but this hotel is not. I hope the owner sees this and improves the hotel because it is not up to standard. I highly recommend that no-one ever stays here....ever. It is not worth anywhere near the money they charge.

The location is great - it's within good walking distance of good bars and restaurants but is set back far enough to be quiet. The facilities are very old, though, and have the smell to go with it, but they are clean and as well kept as can be expected. It's not a very happy or upbeat vibe for a vacation, but the staff is lovely and helpful and it will get you through the nights with a shower and a place to sleep. It's too old and plain to give a high rating, but it tries to be helpful, if that makes sense.

The facilities were old but that's the price you pay. The restaurant staff however were rude. I asked the older gentleman supervising the tables for napkins during the morning breakfast buffet. He turned around and told me "your eyes can't see? you better open them up". I wear glasses. The napkins he was pointing out were the ones they wrapped around silverware on the balcony tables. Overall, very unprofessional and rude! The online photos don't match the room situation.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights to come to a friends wedding. We were very worried about what the hotel will be like after reading the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is not as bad as some of the reviews on here, you get what you pay for. Yes the rooms are very basic and need updating but our room was very clean, maid service every day fresh bedding and towels daily. Staff very friendly. Breakfast could be improved but there is a wide selection. The view while having breakfast is breathtaking. The location of the hotel is fantastic I would stay here again to save costs on accommodation just to be at location again as you are in the best area of Hvar. Hvar is very expensive just to pre warn you as we wasn’t expecting the prices we’ve had to pay whilst being here but it is a stunning island. Highly recommend hula hula which unfortunately we only found on the last day but it has amazing views and great nightlife and atmosphere. Only a 10 min walk away if you turn right out of the hotel. Don’t be put off by the reviews but also don’t expect it to be top end, yes the carpets need changing in the hotel corridors but in our room they were absolutely fine.
