⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an exceptional stay! The Garden Court Sandton City truly stands out from other hotels. From the moment I arrived, every staff member was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. The service was simply outstanding—honestly beyond excellent. It’s rare to find a team that consistently goes above and beyond to make guests feel valued, but that’s exactly what I experienced here. A huge thank you to the entire team for your professionalism, friendliness, and exceptional hospitality. I would highly recommend Garden Court Sandton City and will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed at Garden Court as a family of four, with two adults and two children. Location The location is exceptional. Once you leave the hotel, you have direct access to Sandton City Mall via the stairs. It is literally next to the hotel, which makes everything extremely convenient, especially when travelling with children. Staff and service The porter team was very helpful and courteous, and we had the same positive experience with the reception staff. In fact, the level of courtesy stood out to us. Compared with some other hotels we stayed at in South Africa, the staff here were noticeably more welcoming and helpful. The restaurant staff were also friendly and attentive. Breakfast and restaurant Breakfast was good. The selection was not huge, but there was enough variety for a normal breakfast and everything was perfectly fine. The restaurant area was also clean and well maintained. Room Our room was clean and generally comfortable. It overlooked the hotel entrance. The bed was comfortable and the TV was good, with the option to connect to services such as YouTube and Netflix, which was useful when travelling with children. There were, however, a few practical things that could be improved. The bathroom/WC sliding door does not lock and is quite easy to move, as it is mainly supported from the top. With young children, this means they can easily play with or move the door. The bathroom also only had the main fixed shower head. For families with young children, a handheld shower head would have been much more practical for washing them. Another small issue was the bed frame/feet on the sides, which are quite exposed. We accidentally knocked our legs against them a few times. Access to the room You need to use the elevator to reach the guest rooms, but access was straightforward during our stay. Overall Overall, we had a very good stay. The strongest points were definitely the exceptional location, direct access to Sandton City Mall, helpful staff and comfortable room. There are a few small room-design details that could be improved for families, particularly the bathroom door, shower setup and exposed bed frame, but these did not outweigh the positives. For convenience and location alone, Garden Court is a very practical choice when staying in Sandton.

What an excellent place to stay! it is within walking distance to the Nelson Mandela Square, which is fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant has very good food and reasonable prices. I loved every aspect of my stay here and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Johannesburg, SA

They lie and said I booked a smoking room, I insisted that I didn't since I have sinuses. The lady that was at reception forced the smoking room on me and said they don't have any rooms available. I thought the room wasn't bad but when I got there, the smell was terrible, I couldn't take it. I went over to ask for my refund as my email stated the room I booked wasn't. They gave me the room which means they were lying, I don't know if they were profiling me or what.

I stayed here for three days toward the end of July, so very recently. I was very happy with the room, for the most part, and the good service. The only problem I have is that I booked a family room for myself, my girlfriend, and a couple adolescent relatives. I was expecting there to be more privacy, at least some kind of a basic separation between the two beds, but there was not and I think there should be. So when my girlfriend and I needed privacy, we had to ask our other two guests to go to the pool or gym. There were also no microwaves in the room, so we had to go to reception and ask to heat our personal meals. I hope, in the future, that there will be a basic separation between the two beds for privacy… and I also hope that there might be a microwave. Oh yes, and one more thing, I think password protected secure WiFi would also be great. Other than that, nearly everything else was perfect and I would stay again. I look forward to my next stay. The location is also perfect.

Very large, modern hotel with pool, restaurant, bar. Smallish rooms with tea kettle, tea bags/instant coffee, milk. Fairly comfortable bed, duvet only. No refrigerator. In-closet safe. Shower stall (no tub), no toiletries except body wash. No robe/slippers. Climate control not great, window opens partially. Sink didn't drain well, fixtures loose.

My friend coming from India booked two rooms for 6 nights and still staying there. I want to caution all visitors that be aware about parking charges there. I went as visitor to visit these friends and we were in two cars, we hardly stayed in coffee shop for 30min and we were charged R70 each as parking. R70 for parking 30min is highest in South Africa not even at international airport, shocking, and while I was opposing receptionist was laughing.

We stayed here for one night on the way back from Kruger before heading to Cape Town. The hotel was a good place to stop off the room was comfortable, the highlight though was breakfast which was excellent shout out to Edwin for great service.
