I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel was excellent, thanks to the amazing team who made the experience so memorable. From the welcoming security officers at the gate and the vibrant reception staff to the friendly breakfast team, everyone provided exceptional service. The secure parking, peaceful atmosphere, and convenient shuttle service were all greatly appreciated. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this hotel.

The very friendly and helpful staff, the wide variety of breakfast options, and the shuttle service operating within a 5 km radius of the hotel make Southern Sun a great place to stay in Johannesburg. I had an issue with the airport transfer that was quickly resolved by Daniela. Thank you very much!

Great atmosphere and a place to be a huge shutout to the shuttle guys I know Takalani to the receptionist and restaurant stuff it was amazing..... I would just recommend that atleast the TV be smart TV's as we are streaming now.... But overall a great place to be.

We stayed at Southern Sun Katherine Street for 2 nights, it took around 30-35 minutes to get there from the airport. We arrived quite early and were able to securely store our luggage while we relaxed by the pool area. We managed to get in our room a little early and it was clean, spacious and comfortable. One of the best features was the free 5km shuttle which was easy to arrange and Sandile (the driver) was great taking us to and from Sandton City. Breakfast was also good which some good options. Overall this was a great place to base yourselves in Sandton.

Wonderful hotel with outstanding staff, the service from the gate security personnel welcoming you with a smile, the reception area is nothing short of elegance, from the wooden floors & furniture, art pieces & a large book shelf with some very interesting books. There's a large pool, a spacious gym room with proper machinery.

This is the second time I have experienced unacceptable customer service at this hotel. Once again, my room was not ready upon arrival, forcing me to wait alongside several other frustrated guests who were experiencing the exact same issue. When I politely inquired about the delay, the front desk agent displayed a completely condescending and dismissive attitude—refusing to even make eye contact and bluntly stating that it wasn't his job to clean or inspect the rooms. The total lack of accountability, poor communication, and blatant disrespect from the staff are deeply disappointing, and this pattern of poor service needs to be addressed immediately by management.
