We spent a very comfortable night here, with a higher level of amenity than elsewhere. Spacious room with well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The barbecue was very useful and easy to use. Staff and other guests were friendly and respectful. Check-in/checkout was simple. Cleaning staff very friendly. We loved the mountain views from our bed. A great stay.

This is the Second time I have stayed here and I seriously wanted to ask the lady at the desk if she ever gets some time off to relax. This stay is purely for me an overnight on the way up the coast from Christchurch. Pros: Its actually pretty good for a Motel, it is clean comfortable and does the job. People are friendly. Cons: Directly about the motel none really it does what a motel should do, provide a clean room for the night. Kaikoura its smallish with limited eating options, personally I should have gone to New World and got something but I didnt because Im an idiot. Rooms have a Nuke so you can heat something up (remember to cover) They have a BBQ area but it's pretty cold when Im here so not standing outside. Its quite and easy to access which is why I have used it twice, the place is a solid spot for the night or while you are in the town.

Great location, near to supermarket and shops. We had a lovely quiet studio at the rear of the motel. Ample safe parking. Accomodation was spacious, very clean and well appointed. Super comfy king size bed, good powerful shower. The owner/ manager was very helpful and welcoming. Generous continental breakfast was a bonus. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

We found this place pretty good, the place was fairly tidy, clean and comfortable for our stay. We were welcomed on arrival which was quick and easy. One note is with the shower set up, the glass is on the wrong side, and with such powerful shower pressure, water completely escapes out of the open side, all over the floor and out the door if left open. Also a big sign on the window saying keep open because of ventilation setting off alarms while showering is quite invasive and not private. Better ventilation fans are required. Overall stay was fairly good.

Stayed for one night. Clean rooms. Good location (walking distance from beach and grocery store). Bang on the highway from Picton to Christchurch. Quiet and peaceful. Decent kichnette. Nice garden for kids to run around.
