Good location. It is super close to the Kamakura Station West Gate, and the hotel is around 1.1 km to the beach. I ran along the beautiful shoreline in the morning and could not complain about the location. Service is fair. Hotel provides amenities (towels) to change, water, tea bags and drip coffee. Good coffee and tea. Hotel outlook. Hotel is fairly popular among Japanese travellers and many stayed in the hotel for dinner (with wines). The hotel has a good look and is handsome from the outside. (Alert) But for the actual experience, the room is a bit humid, and the toilet is not equipped with good enough sewage treatment. The toilet cannot handle the smell of the stuff well. As for the showering equipments, the shower only looks like Kohler but is in fact in a suboptimal state. The water pressure is moderate and can even be weak. Something else that is not well thought out is the designated place for the fridge. The cardboard that holds the fridge feels like it had been poorly left under the bare sun. I am not sure whether this is good for the furniture in the long run.

Me and my boyfriend came to visit Kamakura in November. After one week around Tokyo's small hotel rooms, Kamakura Hotel was a breath of fresh air. The environment is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern elements. The room was really nice and spacious, with two comfy queen-size beds and a beautiful restroom with large shower and bath. The personnel were very kind and professional, which helped us a lot getting accustomed to the surroundings. We were pleasantly surprised (even though we didn't know we had to make a reservation) about the beautiful private sauna, which was a highlight of our stay. The only thing we were not accustomed to was the traditional breakfast, which, whilst a pleasant experience (especially the Miso soup), we would suggest adding an option for international visitors to add a bit of variety. :) We highly recommend this Hotel, and next time we will hear Kamakura's calling, we will surely return here. Thank you very much for the fantastic experience! P.S. We loved the selection of local brews <3

The staff were so attentive. We went here for our honeymoon stay and felt very looked after. The breakfast was just the perfect amount, the tea was smooth and delicate. What had us the most impressed was the bath. It was so wonderful to relax after a long day exploring temples and walking. We're hoping to be back every year now the stay was that good. Very foreigner friendly and we even left our bags there after check out (so we could explore a bit more). Truly, the attention to detail was exceptional

Upon arrival the room was not ready, we handed our luggage to keep. The staff were very kind and friendly towards children. When we came back the luggage was already instead the room. The checkout was also smooth and they even offered to take picture at front. I would just like to advise it would be wonderful if they have an option for coffee / cafelate instead of making our own from amenities and room service menu in english with more options.
