We had a wonderful stay at Kanazawa Hakuchoro Hotel Sanraku. Easily accessible by walking to the Castle, Omicho market, the beautiful Kenrokuen Gardens, Higashi Chaya and other main attractions. Front desk was always responsive and helpful; the housingkeeping staff kept the room clean. The room had all amendities that made a comfortable stay. We stay again at the hotel when we return to Kanazawa.

Absolutely the best hotel to stay in Kanazawa. We love staying at the Kanazawa Hakuchoro Hotel Sanraku, the staff are wonderful, helpful and kind! |The rooms spacious and comfortable and clean, and the onsen is lovely. The coffee lounge is relaxing and delicious vienna coffee. Relaxing live piano in the lounge of an evening. Laundry facilities very useful.|Great proximity to the castle and Kenrokuen gardens. A reasonably priced quiet and peaceful hotel!

We loved our room so much we extended our stay by one night because we didn't want to leave! After a week of cramped Japanese hotel rooms, this place felt like sheer old-school luxury, from the opulent lobby to the spacious, comfortable rooms (but minus 1 star for those pillows - please get softer ones!). All members of the reception staff were lovely and friendly, and spoke good English which was another pleasant surprise! They are a credit to the hotel. The onsen was ok, but one night there was a female cleaner (when there were other guests using it) which I wasn't comfortable with so I left. Location-wise you're right next to the two beautiful parks and walking distance to all the good restaurants plus the biggest chaya district, so it's pretty much perfect. Highly recommended!

Really liked it. Nice onsen. Breakfast was good but felt like the staff were always hovering and stopped replenishing at 0930h when breakfast was meant to be finished at 1000h. It's a common tactic in Japanese hotels at breakfast and it's annoying. If you say breakfast finishes at 1000h then it should be replenished up to then.

I had the traditional Japanese room. I enjoyed it a lot and the service set up my futon while i was out. The Bathroom was modern and the space was large for me. Its close by all the major sites and the breakfast had a large variety. Plus they do have a shuttle bus from kanazawa station to hotel and back.

The carpet in the room was old and stained. What concerned me most was the appearance of blood stains on the drapes. This was very unpleasant and fell below my standards of cleanliness. In addition, the A/C did not work. A staff member brought a fan, but the room was still hot. I appreciate the quick response, but this was inadequate due to the price of the room. The staff were very kind, courteous, and helpful throughout my stay. The shuttle bus service to Kanazawa Station was very useful. The location was very convenient to local attractions as Kanazawa Castle, Kenroku-en, and the river area around Asano River.Because of the excellent staff and the convenient location, I am giving this hotel 3 stars.

Location is very convenient beside the castle and <10 minutes to geisha district The furniture are probably outdated (early 90s) but room are big. Breakfast very rich and with good combination of asian and western food The free access hot spring is absolutely a must!

I liked the atmosphere which was kept as retro meiji, taisho Era. So delighted every morning to choose a coffee cup and a rice bowl that are all different designs of kutani Yaki, their traditional ware in kanazawa. Onsen was relaxing and enjoyed an ice candy provided after onsen.
